Really good chop there Pete, it is always a little nerve wracking to make the first cut, but it's plastic so we can always add and subtract plastic to make it the way we want it. I think you nailed it.

@petesmodelcarcustoms58418 күн бұрын
Quite honestly Merv, this chop is easier than the interior. The rear screen is kept the same size. The front tilts a little and will need very minor sanding🤞🤞😃

Nice work on the chop Pete glass reshaping will keep you busy 👍👍

Thats half the reason it's on it a couple of mm chop. The rear glass panel hasn't changed shape or size and the front screen will only need a little sanding to tilt👍😃🤞

Wow, nice work, Pete, with the chop top😊. Am I seeing right or I didn't (old age event) duals tires on the race car Galaxy?😮 I was always going to tell you thar 1/35 scale T34 76 or 85 road wheel would make some different rims and epoxy putty tires😊. The ones with the holes and webbing.

No I'm not but it's a good idea. T34;had some nice wheels 👍

Chopped top looks good. Can't wait to see how you address the glass.
@petesmodelcarcustoms58418 күн бұрын
If you look carefully,the back glass stays the same size and shape. The front glass will tilt backwards so,after cutting off the vent windows, one sands the back ,bottom edge and top front edge to accommodate the new angle🤞🤔. This will be easier than the interior was😀😂😂
@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage18 күн бұрын
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 Nice. I never really have an answer to making glass or cutting glass to shape.
@petesmodelcarcustoms58417 күн бұрын
The utmost care. Part of the reason I cover it in tape,put it in place and draw outline,before changing anything🤞👍😃

@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 For sure. My thoughts were to replace glass with clear plastic sheet, but that only works for cars up to 1949 that still use flat planes of glass. Couldn't do that with a 1959 GM.
@petesmodelcarcustoms58417 күн бұрын
There should be absolutely no need. I'm sure that worrying about the glass is what puts people off trying. This should be very easy👍🤣😣
