I rode with a 1% MC for 18 years and I am happy to be out of that life and I really enjoy riding by myself. So many people have this need, to ride with a group of friends. I have a couple of friends that I will ride with occasionally, but I prefer to just ride by myself these days.

@@chainshishd9127 Hell yes! Arkansas and Missouri are a little over 3 hours from my house to state lines. Both have some curvy hilly 50 to 60 mph county roads. I have done round trips or grab a ho/motel wherever I am at and turn around and find a different way home. A couple of times I have allowed myself to be so consumed with that feeling that tears of amazement and just gratefulness for being able to have that feeling of being a part of it at that moment. it would be impossible to explain that moment to anyone who hasn't had something similar, but i don't know many people who have had, or would share something like that.

Why do we seek camaraderie from others!? I'll tell you why! As men, we crave acceptance and brotherhood! We search to belong and it dont matter how big or small the group! The older we get the more we seek this attention and belonging! It starts when you're a child, riding your bike or skateboard with other kids from your neighborhood or anywhere for that matter! I grew up in East side long beach and I was always on my bike riding to the beach all over the city! I was never lost as long as I was on my bike! The passion stays within us forever! Never lose it for anyone! Once you let it go you start to age! Even if you cant ride, you can always build! 💯 my ride is my therapy!

Fukn A 💪 💯 I remember being thrown on the tanks of a 1981 fxwg and holding them handlebars like I was in control. No helmet for me or pop's. We came out just fine. With that and hanging around actual shops (not like the Harley boutiques) I was hooked. At 37 with 4 bikes I still turn into an excited five year old every time a group of bikers ride by. Watching my dad and all his buddies back in the day hitting Twisties on mountains 50 deep about two feet from each other left and right front and back was the coolest shat ever. To the ones that ride and memories ride on and keep the rubber side down 🤙💪🍻

The cats in the original clubs were just getting past WWII, and their rules were often "Allied Bikes Only." There were various reasons for this. I don't think the Japanese had a motorcycle industry before the 50s. I could be wrong. But early motorcycle clubs didn't want German or Italian bikes either. This was certainly patriotism and a sense of loyalty, but also, trade between these Allied and Axis nations was not ideal. You couldn't get parts for German or Italian bikes. Cheap surplus Harley, BSA, Triumph and even Indian motorcycles could be maintained. "Allied Bikes Only" continued in some Commonwealth countries right into the 70s and early 80s, even with some Outlaw MCs. Interesting? Am I wrong? I heard most of this from my grandfather and other old cats. Contribute!
