I got into your videos since my brother is an agronomist. He has done research in corn, and now is teaching the business end of agriculture in Iowa. Back here in the Antelope Valley at the northern end of LA county, way out of the city, we have quite a bit of alfalfa. At our fair each year, we have the Rural Olympics with a wide range of contests, including loading and unloading bales of hay on flat bed semis . Unlike your round bales, ours are rectangular. The fair includes the usual exhibits for a country fair, including live stock auction, 4-H club participants exhibiting the animals they have raised, etc. The mention of zucchini in this video reminded me of the "summer of zucchini" when we had so much zucchini, my mom probably discovered every way on earth to prepare zucchini! I enjoy you parodies! Keep up the good work, both music and farming.

Just love that first cut hay aroma! How many cuttings can you guys get in a season!? Some of our farmers up in our are can get at least 3-4 cuttings considering the amount of rain we get! Keep up the great work guys and thank you great farmers for all you do for us! God bless each one of you! Thanks for the ride along to! :D

Thanks for this great video. I really enjoy these types of vids and I appreciate you taking the time to film them. I find it very interesting to learn how all the different farming jobs are tackled. Cheers!

Hey I'm Nathan and I live in florida and in my family we do the same stuff as y'all we just only work on cattle we are cattle ranchers. We don't harvest crops and stuff but that's cool I've always wanted to live on a farm but still we have cool similarities.😀 🚜🚜

I love the smell of fresh chopped hay And I hate unplugging the spout

That alfalfa smell is one of the best things ever to breathe. Even better than that zuccini casserole which would come a close second, I daresay.

why do y'all shred it? wouldn't bit be better to bail or even roll it? it's easier to store it and last longer if you do it right.
@judygardener67357 жыл бұрын
He said there was 80% chance of rain, no time to let it dry in order to bale it.

Why don't you buy a GoPro so you can mount it in your cab and drive without holding a camera?
@PetersonFarmBros7 жыл бұрын
We do have a GoPro but it's kind of annoying to drag around and mount and mess with during a busy farm day! Cell phones you can just pull out of your pocket while you're doing stuff.
