Now that I'm back in the state of Missouri, I TOTALLY MISS WHEAT HARVEST IN KANSAS!!! I love the beautiful colors of the wheat fields!! And it is fun to harvest!! Those lunches and suppers in the field is pretty cool too!! I love all of your videos, but this one is my favorite, "Life of a Farmer" video!! I can see some of the things that I miss about living in Kansas!! The AWESOME KANSAS SUNSETS ARE THE BEST!!!! Thanks for all that you do!!!

Awesome video,thanks for sharing your world with us city folks. This is what america is.

I loved that response! Non-Farmers have no clue (including myself) of how much money this equipment costs and how much debt you farmers must bare to be able to have them. Your videos educate a lot of people, keep up the good work. Even City tech guys like me!

Sad That Chris thinks all can afford new machinery. We still us a 7720 like yours to harvest wheat in Reno county and does a great job. Also not all have thousands of acres. My family is still on the same ground for over 100 years. Keep on Keeping on.

As usual a very educational experience also extremely interesting to see how the process gets accomplished. Thanks for all that you do and keep up the great work and yes keep up the great entertainment along with the education. Believe me there are many out here that sincerely appreciate the hard work our farmers do.

Once again a really good video explaining to non farmers about farming! Here in England, we're getting ready for our harvest at the end of July. It's going to be exciting and as good as ever this year! :) I'm a female farmer - breeding and growing on pigs as well black & white bulls for beef with just over 80 acres of land. I love watching your videos! :) Keep up the good work! :) x

We farm in west Texas, and wheat harvest is very similar to yours. We use a 9770 and grain carts along with the 4 trucks that are needed to keep the combine runing at a steady pace, but that sometimes is not enuff when the elevator gets backed up

Another Awesome installment Guys! Looked like a high yield this year. High temps and water issues persist here in California, I must admit that your videos tempt me into giving up Mountains and Beaches for some flat open acreage! Hope you can mix in some fun this summer - Marc

Thanks so much for the videos! The kids and I really enjoy them. Can you tell us more about the moisture content you're looking for in the alfalfa? I'm assuming you need it to be slightly moist, rather than dry? Adam (5) would like you to know he's really looking forward to seeing some videos about Fall, when we get up to it. Also, how is the wheat harvest this year? It looks pretty good. Now we're off to watch our favorite bit in your videos - your sister going up and down in the digger!

Conventional style straw walker combines also leave much better straw for baling which for cattle farmers is important. and with tractors, you just cant kill those old deeres

Let us not forget the millions of dollars wrapped up in this farm equipment, trucks, storage and all manner of convenience only affordable to the very wealthy and usually corporate farmer.Money, like everything else, does not grow on trees. It may be a "family" farm, but certainly it isn't what most have in mind when considering the usual "family" farm.

@Bearcats73711 жыл бұрын
umm no hear 4 states above you wheat harvest doesn't occur until late July or early August and corn harvest comes in late august early September. Around hear corn is planted first so they ripen about the same time with enough time in between to get the combine read for corn harvest. All of the maintenance should have been dome in the fall except for greasing and fueling. If you were a good combine driver you could drive with one hand and eat with the other wthou thaving to stop
