I’m watching this on my tv. I can’t believe it took me so long to do one this. It’s soooo much easier to see what you’re doing on a 42” tv. lol. I’m slow but I learn.

This is why I am not a philo girly 🥲 poles are way too much work! You deserve an award for this lol

Splendid is a wishlist plant! I have a verrucosum cutting but it's only a couple hand sized leaves and a tiny new growth point lol it'll be ages until it's big enough that I'll truly love it. But splendid is also on my list! That's a beautiful specimen!!! ❤

Charmaine... please just put the other pole on that splendid already 😂😂 I have a big one too and that thing will outgrow the pole in 2 - 3 months tops depending on where u put it... if you put the extension on already you will spare urself the stress of having to worry about it until at least the end of the year - next spring (splendid has really variable internodal spacing - so depending ok your conditions yours will have anything between 5 - 20cm spacing.... )

Yeah..I think this is a wise idea, too. Can’t imagine extending this pole with an infant to take care of…I can’t imagine doing this at all, actually.🤣 I understand the appeal, but I can’t be bothered with poles. If it’s not self heading or able to be grown on a support stick/trellis, it’s not for me.😅

I like those clippers that you cut the wood with. What kind are they and where did you get them.

I would love a splendid. I think it’s the areas that may get saturated. I’m in Colorado and haven’t seen any on fb marketplace. Great find. Hope you can reuse that nice pole

I am crossing both my fingers and toes for this to thrive and survive 😂 I saw someone on insta (can't really remember who) put moss first on the grid of this kind of moss pole, then their aroid mix for the soil at the back to not fall out and I think that would be an option especially for big plants like this. I hope that made sense. Btw I made a plant insta which I have been toying for a while because of you and Alice! 😅

This was a big one. I'm waiting for my Thia also. It's so root bound but I can't find a pot I want because they don't have clear ones big enough. Thank you for sharing mamma

You did great despite the size of the plant & size of your tummy. Thanks for sharing!

I have watched you massacre countless plants without a care bc that's what us plant parents have to do, but I felt an arrow through my CHEST when you cut this splendid. I have a Verrucosum I need to chop / reset and now I don't know if I want to 😅
