Kevin standing in front a tractor/wagon buried in the mud, with a smile on his face. Rhonda sitting in the tractor explaining the troubles associated with the mud, with a smile on her face. No matter what, the optimism of this family continues to strive. For those who are always looking for reasons to complain or absent themselves from problematic situations, here is an example of the other side of that coin. "... get-r-done" is the only way to make this kind of life happen.

Hi Rhonda, I think you guys irrigated those fields too much this past summer 😅. Sorry, just kidding. My whole summer was like that when I was making dry hay. I have had falls like that one and sometimes you have to use a small bulldozer to keep things moving. And you know next fall will be a dust owl. This makes farming interesting and a challenge. You will be tired at the end of the day, but it will be a good tired.😊 take care 🇨🇦♥️🚜👍

We had a muddy silage season a few years back. Kept a tow rope on the chopper and a tractor in the field with a chain, and both were often hooked up to one truck or another. Chopper got the pull "opening up", and the tractor the rest of the time. Never fun. Keep at it, and you will get it done. Great video!

Yep, I remember the mudfest you had that year. Not fun when it's that bad.1979 we got a combine stuck, pulled it out, got it stuck 6 more times just trying to get it turned around and out of there. Same fall got the combine stuck, couldnt get it pulled out and it got froze in overnight. Spent 6 hours chopping frozen mud out undeneath a got it out with a 4 wheel drive tractor.

We had clover appear in a field of turnips about 30 years ago it had been spring barley for the previous 2 years and grass before that for about 7 years, we had never seen this happen before or since. Our seed sales man carried photos of this and had never seen this happen before either. It has been very wet in northern england as well for most of the last month and it is slowly drying now as there is still barley to combine and straw to bale in this area.

Ha, I do remember that field! Sorry it's so wet there, surprisingly here in NY it has been dry till the last couple days! We had a freak accident the other day, a guy says he was taking a short cut threw a corn field, mind you this is while the chopper was in the field. Well this guy is lucky to be alive! He lost part of one leg! If not for the quick reaction of the operator it would have been really, really bad as you can imagine! What he was really doing the field we don't know for sure? Fortunately I was not with that crew that day! But when he said "I got a person stuck in the head" every body was very confused, why would anyone be in the field? Ya never know, be safe!

Yea when you are young all that slippin and sliding is fun but when you get older it isn't as much fun anymore because you realize you are the one responsible for getting it out of the field. It turns into more of an inconvience then. The really fun part is cleaning up the ruts in that field later. Kevin is standing there smiling but at a time like that about all you can do is laugh...
