When I was in the St. Olaf Choir back in the early 1980s we opened one of the tour programs with this, and I can remember the gasps of excitement from the audiences at this amazing work! Well sung here! Bravo.

OMG! I’m front row, 5th from the right, 8+ months pregnant with my first child. This lovely piece shared a concert with the Bach motet of the same name. What a lovely pairing. First time in the sanctuary of the church I would later join with my children’s father.

Ha! I too remember this from the 1999 TASC! What a great and challenging piece of music. This group does a fantastic job with Distler's work.
