Great inspiration! This hymn was the signature praise song for the Quaker summer camp I went to from 4th grade through high school, high in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. We could look out from the chapel windows and watch the deer wandering through the meadows, and hear the birdsong and breeze and watch all we were singing about.

Now that is an incredible comment you typed. I'm totally blind but what you said was really fascinating to me. As I'm typing this, they're singing the last verse. How can I possibly describe how great this sounds to me? We sang this at my beautiful wife's memorial service a little over two years ago. Your camping experience must have been so beautiful. By the way, I'm an animal lover. My dog's name is Brook and she's really smart. At least, that's my opinion. What an absolutely beautiful hymn!!

Wow...Beautiful...The history of this Episcopal church is awesome...Founded in 1696, Goerge Washington attended church at St. Pauls Chapel, a chapel of the parish of Trinity...Washingtons pew remains in the chapel today.

Dorothy, this is Donald. I agree with you. This is beautiful to listen to. I love organ music. My mother was a church organist. You know, today is Good Friday. The third verse of this great song is particularly meaningful on this special day. The last verse really brings it home in a glorious way. I've been totally blind since birth but I really enjoy these hymns in a special way. I recommend you type Washington national cathedral ah holy Jesus for another beautiful hymn. I know about lots of other good music on youtube. I know I'm a longwinded e mailer. There is so much else I could tell you about but I think I'll close for now from Coplay Pennsylvania.
