I had the privilege of meeting him during the 90s, in the US. I was working at the theatre he was headlining. Funny beyond belief, he had them crying, mostly young university students, and they cheered him for three encores. Then we, the crew, had pizza and he sat and told us jokes for another hour. This is talent unparalleled today. No dirty language, not too fast, not boringly slow. Every joke light, fluffy like a thought that had just occured, but spot on. Courios eyes like those of a child, but with a twinkle that says "Funny, eh? Got'cha there!". We don't even have to mention his musical talent. He didn't even WANT to be funny. He just found out that he was and he went out there to let us enjoy this with him.
@Gator-fromOZ3 жыл бұрын
The way he said things that were intended to be funny , were then followed by those teasing facial expressions of his which were the final touch that would bring you to TEARS OF LAUGHTER and rolling on the floor😂🤣🤣, just like RED SKELTON used to do too😅❗️ The biggest difference I believe, was that TOTALLY STRAIGHT FACE he was able to hold through it all, While Red would get so tickled 😂 , he would crack-up along with the audience or his other stage mate...

dang khoa i’m going to explain the shop to you but I need you to unclear you mind of other things. The reason why it’s funny it’s because well explaining that the two people are hidden behind the trees he says that the chorus starts playing, he says that nobody knows why signifying that and not the musicians not the composer not even the actors, this is because Mozart was the only one that knew why and that very moment the chorus was playing but for the people remaking the scene, they were just doing what was on the script. So when he says that Mozart is the only one that knows what was going on but he’s dead it’s just a matter of fact joke and there is no punchline, it’s just unexpected

Jesus loves you. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. Revelation 22:16 ✝🌅 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ✝🌅 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. "She's a big soprano -she's about 4 and a half feet tall... lying down!" was the line that made me fall in love with Victor Borge, when I heard it, in my childhood, on a Royal Command performance concert on television and it stayed with me, all these years! I always longed to see the rest of the routine again. Thank-you for uploading this.

I LEFT the USNAVY in 1956 oand took my dad to a d Borge show in Boston, had many laughs and good time. My dad could not carry a tune in a basket, but he certainly enjoyed the performance There are many in the entertainment world that can pla the piano, BUT, to play as well as he did was a masterpiece and a lot of fun. I miss my dad, passed in 1997, mother passed in 1991
