Linda Ramsay So the chord jumping exercise that he shows in the video is just a demonstration of what not to do???
@gamerbro634 жыл бұрын
@@josephguida5432 The jumping exercise is good, he just said that he doesn't normally position his hands in that manner (index and ring finger are down to be out of sight for viewing purposes)

I am a beginner and thanks so much for your sharing! 😀 I just love your videos, which are so clear and so systematically categorised! Sir, your voice is very great and I can easily understand though I am not a native speaker. I'll learn from your video step by step. Best regards from Hong Kong.

in complex chords,we must find the same note that two chords share so that we can reuse that as a mark at high speed progression.

Scott, great lesson! I have been playing classical piano for 2 years. I'm playing Clementi Sonatinas and Chopin Prelude in e minor. Where can I start with your course?
@pianoinaflash6 жыл бұрын
Hello! Well, if you are playing preludes and sonatinas, you'll probably be past Courses 1 & 2, so I would suggest starting with Course 3, then moving on through Course 6. Visit learn.pianoinaflash.com/enroll?medium=comments-chord-jumping-exercise to check out our course offerings and click on "what's included in this courses" to see if the material would fit with where you are at. Also, if you end up thinking those courses would be a good fit, and if you purchase both of them together, you will save $49! Hope that helps.

Am I the only one stressed because you're not putting putting your 5 fingers on the Piano? 😂
@SteveFarmerMusic5 ай бұрын
⬛️🎹🎹🎹⬛️ That did concern me, from a teacher perspective, that his "method" of illustrating playing the chords is not how the student will actually be holding their hand/fingers. There's also an additional thing consider that would make a more effective exercise.... but... that's for my own lessons website, that I've just begun developing. 😜 Overall, he's a great teacher and has been very successful with his online product and marketing, through the years!

Pay attention and u will know why he places his fingers like that .. so we can see where correct finger placement is better.. I think the info is helpful..
@Ernesto76084 жыл бұрын
@@brencc147 I paid attention and realized that to show that fingers 1,3,5 are playing a triad, you don't need to retract fingers 2 and 4. (this looks horrible) All you need to do is observe the pressed keys. There is no "better" correct finger placement. It is either correct, or incorrect. If you are a beginner, don't fall for these dumb videos, but get yourself a teacher!

PLEASE hold your hand naturally. Sure, tuck the unused fingers at first, to show clearly, and then use the natural handshape! I can't even LOOK at that bizarre Dr Spock handshape.. especially with the middle finger extended like that 🤦♀️
