FFS just take up classical guitar. That's what the classical instrument is all about: - complete coherent arrangements of melody + harmony on a guitar. It is usually approached with systematic training and reading skills which allow access to mountains of repertoire, not reliance on this "look and copy" bs.

Woah! Capital E Elitism. This video is a shortcut, yes, but by showing how the melody leads into the chords he names it gives insight to how things like these are arranged. The real expertise of jazz guitar in this vein is improvising melodies with chords under them that fit the harmony of the song spontaneously---let's see Tarrega do that. Reading is a skill many jazz guitarists have but is still seen as a shortcut to true musicality. A video like this is a similar jumping-off point.

Yeah ! but that's not jazz ! Classical guitar is beautiful but it doesn't lead on to improv a proper expression/personality of the creator... and the guitar (modern) instrument is perfectly layed out for the pentatonic which is used to play the blues the roots of jazz. BTW Frank's a master at jazz-blues too... hey but each to there own play what you want to play other wise your wasting time ask Frank ))😂

I enjoy classical and jazz. And I always had the underlying feeling that classical people were rather snobby. Thanks for verifying that. Of course I’m not naïve enough to think all lovers of classical music are snobby. It’s just that you are one of them. (Snob) but I have a feeling the rest of us will get by just fine in our musical destinations with or without your opinion.

Yes, but you called what he’s doing to help others BS. Not everybody has a time in their life to take classical guitar classes. This is a great service he’s doing for us.
