Hi. Potential issue I have noticed with Mojo 2 is that when mojo is connected to power source the electric current leaks into a chasis. It feels like slight tingling under fingers when you touch the mojo. I've tried many chargers and it is always the same. Does yours doing something similar or perhaps I have a faulty unit? Many thanks.

That's dangerous and faulty.

Try Samsung charger and obviously change cable. I try 3 different original cable and 3rd provide charging with out noise. Also when I connected to MacBook when it charged I have noise even if mojo not connected to charger. When I remove charger from MacBook noise disappeared
@pistopit71423 ай бұрын
@@vitryakev had 3 units and each has the same issue. Tried different chargers, cables and even in different houses in case something is wrong with my wall sockets. Anyways, this is not he biggest problem. The most anoying problem with Mojo 2 is its interference with mobile phone signal when on the go. This ruins the main use case for this dac for me - portability. I've returned it. Shame becuase when it works the sound is amazing.

Thanks for the review - really interested in this little unit as a desktop dac for headphones or possibly stand alone depending on the headphone sensitivity - are you still planning on a mojo 2 headphone review?

How is it’s EQ , can it help in offsetting some of the brightnesss of my speakers ?

Hi. I am about to get Marantz 40n which has built in internal DAC. But I also have Mojo 2. I will obviously compare the two, but in your opinion, would you think Mojo 2 set as preamp would work better than using built in Marantz 40n DAC?

I have the mojo2 poly also and I am wondering how I go about connecting to a fosi audio v3 amp that drives my RB42s
@吹波堂6 ай бұрын
You need a connection cable from 3.5 mm connector to RCA stereo connector and connect to your Amp. If your Amp have remote sound control, then you can make the mojo volume the maximum, otherwise use mojo volume control to adjust the volume. Have 🤩

Can I ask what is needed to connect to IPhone? Lightening to USB? I seem to remember the OG Mojo needed two cables to make this connection.
@pistopit714211 ай бұрын
You need one cable, USB-C to lightning. Or if you have iphone 15/15 pro then USB-c to USB-c.

So you would plug in a 3.5mm output to the amp in a hi-fi setup? How would this sound compare to the Chord Qutest?
@Hifyed2 жыл бұрын
That is correct! It also battery saver mode so you can keep it plugged in without overcharging. Although I have not compared directly from what I remember the Qutest is the way to go.

Ok, let's make our dream Mojo 3 because there's no way I'm buying a device with Micro USB in 2024. a) 2x USB-C ports b) 3.5 and 4.4 balanced. I have zero use for two 3.5 outs and I can't imagine many people are ever using this "feature." c) Much faster startup. 20 seconds? My Schiit tube amp takes less time to kick on. d) much improved heat dissipation... c'mon, this is still an issue?

Very cool, guys. Would you use this with an all in one amp that already has a built in dac? If so, would the built in dac be completely shot off? Or can you use both together?

This would be an upgrade to a lot of built in dacs. You always however have be careful not to use an external dac that you don’t like better than the built in one.

How Mojo 2 compared to a DAC inside dedicted amplifier?

Did anyone try using a different PSU for this in desktop mode? I was thinking of the iFi iPower X. I've asked on the forums but nobody ever gives any feedback. I use an iPower X on a Zen Stream and it did improve the sound. I was going to get another one for my internet hub/router. I use a Mojo 2 in desktop mode and although the snob in me thinks I should be using a desktop DAC not a portable- it works great and the EQ is really good. I'm tempted to try a Qutest but when I used EQ in Roon- it created some digititus, some bad sounding digital artifacts. I'm thinking I'll stick with the Mojo 2. One thing- I use an Audioquest carbon USB-C cable from the Zen Stream. That was worth it for a bump in sound quality, smoother, cleaner sound. Going to upgrade the 3.5mm to RCA out as well.
@Hifyed2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to chime in! That is a good idea to try a different psu in desktop mode 🤔. I know quite a few people who are enthusiasts and the use the mojo as a desktop setup. Some I know someone who uses it in his DJ setup that brings to venues!

I just use an old Ipad plug, when I spoke to Chord support they mentioned it being what the usually recommend, I'm no expert but it seems to work fine for me.
