I also love the bypass function of the evo 150 to connect the AVR for example. Also, I have the evo 150 at home with the elac vela 407 and the combo is awesome, much better than with the Marantz 40n. The evo is much more clear and direct with greater dynamics. I think the Marantz is a bit softer and open, but also quite boring … it is certainly better for classical music as it creates a bit more room.

have been exspreimeting with power supplies on the mojo one and mojo 2 i removed the battrey and replaced it with a clean power supply it totally transforms the sound of this amazing dac

Didn’t care of too much about a lot of talking in the entire video rather hear the speakers play so when you get a chance, go find those videos that will play and demonstrate how to speaker sound that your best bet

I have this amp. At first I thought what about the tone controls. But it’s so well designed I have not noticed the need to mess around with levels. It just plays the music how it was engineered. I only paid £400 for mine brand new (open box). Because the dealer thought it was an ex demo. But amazingly they still honoured the price. Mine is driving a pair of B&W DM601S3.

Shop near me offers Denon pma-600ne and Dali Spector 2 for a combo but they got this Cambridge beast too but it doesnt go as a combo

Possibly because Cambridge don't recommend driving 6ohm speakers with the Axa35.. "The AXA35 is only rated to be used with 8 Ohm speakers and we would not recommend using it with 4 or 6 Ohm speakers. Using the AXA35 with 4 or 6 Ohm speakers could result in the amplifier overheating, which in the long run could damage the unit."

I've heard 2 of these; first was the EVO 150 at a friend's, near field through some KEF speakers... didn't love it, this set-up was too 'in your face' and sharp. Months later, I went to buy a new Rega TT belt and the dealer was playing the Atom through a pair of Neat Iota speakers (that I already own) and all I could think was 'that's what I want my system to sound like'. Not long after, bought an Atom H.E., paired it with Acoustic Energy AE1 Actives that I already had and I couldn't be happier.

Does anyone have a suggestion as how to switch the 405-2 on and off? I have the 34 pre and according to the 34 instruction book, it can be connected to the switched power outlet. I'm in the U.S.!

As much as I love my amplifier Parasound 2125v2, I upgraded to the even better NAD C298. As much as I love my speaker GoldenEar BRX (AMT tweeter), I upgraded to the even better PS Audio FR5 (planar tweeter). Both speakers are used with 2 independent sealed subwoofers. As much as I love my dac Denafrips Ares II 12th, I upgraded to the even better Denafrips Pontus II 12th. And I use a ddc Denafrips Iris 12th. source=Apple Music lossless quality

Heard this combo many times, and although it certainly has visual appeal, I'm at a loss as to why so many enthuse about the sound. It's entirely subjective, of course, but it's just too restrained for my tastes. Without doubt it's a classic, but it's not for everyone.

Naim is just a private equity Brand name now. This is probably the last classic amp with prat but already lost some Naim musically compared to the first version. I only ever just showroom listened to the 2nd version but that sounded technically much better than version 1 but totally lacked the musical enjoyment of the first version. Vale jlJV, your legacy is sadly dying

Yesterday I added CA AXA 35 my Klipsch F28, and I get very audible hiss in tweeters, I tried everything, can't get rid of it. Does anyone know the solution?

I am very happy and impressed with my Oberon 5's. They have a clarity and presence that is surprising. Bill Evans at the Village Vanguard feels like I'm in the room , bass and mids are well articulated. I am using a pretty basic Sony receiver and Audio Technica turntable but the sound is still very impressive. I had some space restrictions so these fit perfectly and the quality of the sound is the real bonus.

I am enjoying mine. I’ve found that they’re VERY sensitive to placement and I’ve had to be a bit unconventional in that regard.

I would go for the Concept 30, or any stand mount speaker. Even for my medium sized room I’m going with stand mounts next time. If you have a good subwoofer, and let it handle the lows, I find stand mounts aggravate room modes so much less than floorstanders do. They have less phase issues as well. So yes the C50 will work but you might want to plug the ports to prevent the room from going nuts, and if you do that you’ll need a subwoofer anyway.

For general listening and small to medium room this amp amazing , 80 watt at 8 ohm quite powerfull , dont seem like 80 watt ❤❤❤

The reason for the speaker terminals being the other way around is... When you're plugging in the cables from standing in front of the Naim your right side is the right side on the speaker terminal, and the left side terminal is on your left side.

Amps with loudness and treble / bass will fix up the linton. That’s what an amp is for…. The model 5 looks cheap and to detailed… or hot

I still don't know what a "vintage" sound is. All speakers have their own sonic signature (despite how neutral their designers try to make them), including vintage speakers. I get what a vintage look looks like but not the sound. Care to describe it?
