When you print stuff, so you don't get the ramen noodle effect on top, seek a slicer that has a variation of what's commonly refereed to as "last layer ironing", essentially, the last pass is a heat pass that smooths out the surface finish. You should get really smooth surfaces on both ends that way.

Actually, the rough sides were at the bottom of the parts when I printed them. They were raised off the bed due to the geometry of the part. The tops are the smoothest sides.

Would love to model my Simplicity VA for 3d printing when I finish rebuilding it

Man, these are awesome! I would love to have a scale planet jr seeder or wheel hoe or walk behind tractor. Im not sure what involved with mass producing models like these, but they would sell.

Thanks man. It would be nice to sell them, but with the amount of hours envolved with each one it would be pricey. I'm sure there will be more models to come and possibly a plant jr eventually.
