This young boy has been blessed with an extraordinary gift. He sounds effortless, and this is no easy piece. Many mature singers make it sound somewhat heavy, but I do like Kathleen Battle. The trumpet is also amazing and the orchestra sounds great. This was sung at my wedding. This boy has a bright future - more great things to come!

Aksel's talent is something you see only once in a lifetime. Incredibly skilled, precise, and musical. There are a lot of high-profile trebles around nowadays, like Cormac, Cai Thomas, etc. But none of them come even close to this. They're cute and popular and sing popular songs that get them attention, and Aksel never got the recognition he deserved because of this, but this...this is true skill. Once in a lifetime and I'm so glad he recorded a lot of this.

And there's nothing wrong with his technique either! He glides over the runs with the apparent ease of a rippling stream. And he is apparently engaging with the aria, not merely "performing" it, which makes for a superior interpretation. I will be following this young man's so far sparkling career as he transitions to baritone. (I was goinh to quip : Move over,Farinelli, there's a new kid on the block. But no need, it's the baritones who will have to watch their backs -- but perhaps not for long, as he moves to the front of the pack !!!😳😊😀)
