This video has been up for ages... I have a dot density question about the value of each dot. I am teaching students about it... so, I set a value for the dot (let's say 100 of something) and then switch between data and layout view and the value changes... there's something automatic going on.... I can't tell which check box is controlling this and I can't necessarily replicate it! I am wondering if it's the maintain density by check box... is this something you've managed in some way? I am an occasional instructor and fall into some traps in ArcMap -- thanks for the snappy little videos!

Ahhhh, I figured it... it's the check box and it's linked to the ZOOMING!

Thanks alot for the demo,Question is if i wanted to calcualte area for a large extent like a whole continent to normalise the data, but the SRS is in angular units?

If you see angular units, that means it is in a geographic coordinate system, which is based on a 3D globe. Try reprojecting to a projected coordinate system (which is 2D) and exporting as a new file. Sorry for the late reply, but I haven't been getting notifications for some reason.
