Congratulations to the winners! I actually watched HOUS3's entry before the judging took place but didn't expect him to win the Chosen One because the story in his animation wasn't clear enough to me. But the animation is tops. Also, I personally think Bambooty should have been in third place.

i'm not gonna lie, HOUS3's video might be the best 2024 animation video on KZbin. the way how the story & creativity goes, we see "Dude" be a stick figure animation fan, & then train to be the Chosen One winner, & seeing him fight against the other stick figure animation youtubers OC & original characters, all of those combined... this is the best animation video i have ever seen ever. the music is legit too. Amazing to see this right as I just finished all my assignments, soon to be graduating as a major in digital design with plans to dive further into animation. To see what the top of this amazing community can be capable of, to see and hear the strengths and weaknesses from professionals and see what I would have to consider as I move forward and continue to improve is invaluably insightful and inspiring. Especially to see how key the phrase 'less is more' is when I see some higher ranked animations not need all the flashy visuals and focus more on the narrative that can really tie it together. Eye protein and such. Congratulations nonetheless to everyone and I wish them all the best continuing, cuz we can only go up from here!

I don’t know how to animate, don’t know how to draw, don’t know how to do anything of that sorts. But animation is something I’ve been wanting to do since I’ve discovered it, since I started watching all of those stick fight animations. Watching all of the entries in this competition, especially House’s animation, keeps me inspired and keeps the hope that I can animate like that one day. That I can create my own stories and inspire others as the creators of the dojo community have inspired me. Everyone in the competition did amazing, and I hope to see more of these awesome animations!

I might be alone on this, but his own felt kinda missing in terms of story which is a third of the scoring criteria. It was just two dudes looking fighting, where as the winner had a whole story arc in just 3 minutes.

Okidox's animation easily wins the creativity in my opinion. My problem with most animators who build portfolio are how repetitive a certain type of cut is. Almost similar concept as tropes. It's like they're doing master-study in illustration and is honestly fair for learning but lacks of identity of their own
