I had to step away from my two sons, because they took my kindness for weakness and they got comfortable with me being so cool with them. They started to believe that I was their friend and not their father although I laid down the law with them and explain to them that I’m not your friend I’m your father from the beginning even hanging out with them, but they didn’t understand that so now, I took a step back from them and I don’t know if I’m ready to step back in their life they’re grown men and they have to learn the hard way the youngest one does call me when he wants to tell me he misses me and why I don’t come around and I have to let him know. My boyfriend of 16 years has one bad habit that I hate because it harms our relationship and it turns him into a monster. He knows I do not tolerate his drinking. I used to chew him out but he just continues to do it. Now I stopped yelling and started walking away. I love him but I’m beginning to question if he loves me back the same way I love him? I made As in my sleep even with the professors working against me! I didn’t get honors because I didn’t walk and talk like they do! It does make sense when you consider it from a spiritual perspective. If you are a believer then you totally get it: 2 Timothy 3:1-7. People aren't really 'stupid' as you say. They are being goaded by dark powers (demons) to act the way they do. Most people choose not to believe this but it's all fulfillment of God's purpose. God cannot lie, everything that we see going on in the world now will get a whole lot worse. The very first sentence of the Scripture quoted above explains why? Trying to maintain friendships and relationships with these folks is a bad idea. God has repeatedly warned his chosen ones not to do that. Whenever people ignore God in this respect it never turns out well for them. Of course they feel your absence because there's not much of what you've got out there. They envy and hate you because they want to attach and take some of that energy they lack from you. Spiritual energy is a real thing, and it is precious and rare. Protect yours from those who seek to abuse it! Stay away from these people and stay focussed on God and your own goals.
