@@LhezkenHe already explained it dumbass. Ranged characters take less risk throughout the game to fight/farm/do objectives and play more to scale. Look at smolder corki meta, literally nothing happens - they are giving souls to scale and farm under tower instead. Nasus/Garen make the mid/late way more fun as it translates to more fights. Mid lane phase is boring regardless of meta for years, except with tristana this year.

Singed would usually fully stack it in 4-5 seconds with Q, E, and AA, then because the damage lingers, he would get to keep the stacks for longer than Garen without having to touch anyone.

Garen doesn't heal that much before lv13. Garen is purposely standing in the middle of the wave so Nasus cannot E because he needs to hug the tower. You can see that Nasus only E Garen when he is away from the wave, and positioned it so it never hits any minion.

adc went to mid cuz they scale faster and safer there. Then too much adc mid and we have Nasus as adc counter. Then too much Nasus mid and we have Garen as Nasus counter. Truly a "countered your countering" moment.

faker is probably not familiar with this matchup because it is really Nasus-favored. Like at lv1, Nasus should take E if Garen has already taken E, and only take Q after Garen taking Q. Also, Aery/Phase rush is a much better rune choice for Nasus into Garen.

You can see that Faker purposely never E any minion because he needs to freeze and hug the tower, Chovy knows this so he stands in the middle of the wave so Nasus can't poke. Bringing Aery is useless, not to mention Garen can W shield and has innate sustain. Nasus needs the sustain from Fleet against Garen, it also gives ms so why would you want Phase Rush in this matchup? There's a lot of mind games just from watching these 2 pros laning. They're pro players for a reason, they have far better understanding of the game than us.
