Completely agree with Chovy top. From watching his streams he would be perfect top laner. He plays the melee champs way better than the current top laners and he actually plays very aggressive top compared to mid. Would be very dangerous with playmaker mids like night or even faker. Or just go to DK and win worlds with showmaker? That would be insane.

I agree about your cs hypothesis. It is the correct way to play for people that are GOOD at the game. It’s way too risky to fight for no reason. When players do everything correctly, there are only few windows to actually fight without risking the game. That’s objectives and capitalizing on other’s mistakes. What’s better, getting a kill, losing the wave/plate and having to reset, or taking the wave and a plate? I would rather take the latter because of tempo. But what if our team gets an objective thanks to the kill?? ->worth. It’s not only the risk of throwing, it’s a reliable way to create roaming/rotation windows, creating pressure, enabling someone to push side lane, getting rich af (plates, tower breaks). Baus does this really well, but is inting in order to achieve that. These AIs like Chovy get 10-11cs/min reliably, control not only their gold income but half of the map and can actually create a lead for teammates as well, without dying.

I remember the discussion around Chovy role swapping to top back when his contract was running out on DRX. Think of the team you could make with how stacked the mid role in the LCK is. The only issue with him playing top is that he would be wasted on tank duty.
