@@vigilantejusticevid the only gas it gives off is hydrogen. Unless you have an open flame nearby, it's pretty safe, and you keep the bag closed during heating anyway. Beyond that, Vibbs could have just boiled the entrees like Steve does when he gets a training MRE.

Life Hack for any jarheads or joes out there for the maple flavored pork patty. Take everything out of the bag, set aside the patty, the cake thing, and the syrup Heat up the pork patty eat everything besides those three things once the patty is heated up put that, the cake, and syrup back in the bag and stir Expedient McGriddle, it fucking slaps

I ate the old type MREs. They were great when warmed up and the hot sauce. The only one that tasted “eh” cold, was the pork chop. The pork chop sucked warmed up. Hint: You need to drink a lot of water with the MREs or you will get plugged up.
