CHP ARRESTS SUSPECT CONNECTED TO FREEWAY SHOOTING

On September 27, 2017 at approximately 4:43 PM, Sadel Delvon Wilkes (25) was involved in a freeway shooting on northbound I-880 at the Industrial Parkway on-ramp. He was observed by witnesses walking up to a vehicle stopped for the metering light and proceeded to shoot into an occupied vehicle. Wilkes then jumped into a getaway vehicle which drove him away from the scene.
Investigators from CHP - Golden Gate Division Special Investigations Unit developed leads and subsequently authored search and arrest warrants for Wilkes.
Members of CHP - Golden Gate Division Warrant Service Team executed the warrants today at 7:25 AM and by 7:30 PM Wilkes was arrested in Oakland, California for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an occupied vehicle, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
