It would be a great debate but not even climate alarmists are stupid enough to walk into a real debate with a real scientist - they would be humiliated on every front. I would enjoy it immensely. We should be looking to countries like Japan for nuclear power technology. They use a proven process of recycling waste from their reactors to create new material, place it back into reactors, and therefore reducing the overall waste created. Additionally, what people seem to ignore when the nuclear debate is raised, if we where to build nuclear powers station in Australia it would be with 2020+ technology, not 1950's technology.

In Finland, we have embraced nuclear power. We have Europe's most powerful nuclear reactor with Olkiluoto 3, and we have a way of storing nuclear waste for a casual 100 thousand years. Modern nuclear power is pretty good, it is not the thing of the past that people fear. From what I've seen, a lot of the fears and disagreements these days seem unwarranted.
