Curry is the single biggest offensive threat this league has ever seen. The Cavs made him a focus last year too (That was Tyron Lues gameplan) and he went off. If your whole team is centered on taking one player out of the game, he is the best player on the floor. The Cavs and the Rockets know that he’s the man and he knows it. You aren’t gonna stop him a whole series.

calm down bruh, the GSW are in control, they are gonna make this look like a series but we all know the outcome , NBA wants these series exciting and competitive this year, and so that's what we've gotten! They stole 1 at Houston so now it's Houston's turn to try and steal one, but even if Houston gets 1 the series is still tied and they would need to wil 2 out of 3 against Golden State.... in the Hunger games phrase: the odd are ever in GSW favor! [Remember what Steph said in the last press conference... GSW are playing CHESS... James Harden was asked about that statement and he said "We ain't playing chess" lol GSW in 6]

@irandleIV 6 жыл бұрын
David T remind me of how many championships Hayward has won? How many big shots has he hit in the finals? Kyrie is still much better than Rozier even tho Rozier is very solid. And Tatum is younger, probably less injury prone and all around better than Hayward. The rockets would be interested in another good wing player like Hayward though and in exchange the Celtics can get a spot up shooter to space the floor like Ryan Anderson.
@deebra5701
@deebra5701 6 жыл бұрын
TheIVth so what about that championship... big deal... the celtics are a better defensive unit without kyrie.. they move the ball more without kyrie.. the celtics get more if they trade kyrie for picks or a floor spacer.. Tatum does look like the second coming of paul pierce so he can get you a bucket when you need... all I'm saying is with Hayward in a small ball line up they don't lose as much defensively compared to with kyrie but yet still keep the fluid offense where everyone eats.. plus they'll get more for kyrie than for hayward.. id flip kyrie for kawhi in a heart beat..

Enough with the whole "Rockets won't shoot like that again" argument. Yes, a few specific players were on fire from three in Game 2, but Harden and Paul combined to go 4 of 20. As a team, they shot 16 of 42, which is right at their season average (15.3 of 42.3). They can absolutely sustain that percentage as a team; doesn't matter who is hitting them.

steven whiters what I'm saying is Kerr is relying too much on his luxury item rather than what got him there in the first place. If you've followed there careers KD/Curry you would know that Curry steals the opposing teams very soul and the crowds heart when he goes off. When KD goes off it's like, we can match that, the opponents and crowd don't get as discouraged when KD does this as opposed to Curry. I don't know why but that's just what happens.

I don't understand why people think someone has to come off the bench for the Cs next year. Kyrie, Hayward, Brown, Tatum, and Horford are going to be the starters. Tatum can EASILY play the small ball 4. He's 6'8" long arms, can score the 3, hit the midrange, take it to the basket, play with his back to the basket, above average defender, athletic, smart, and only going to add size. I like Brown at the 3 because he has more weight, more athletic, and better defender.

Even as a Rockets fan...man I think they need to chill with all this "Golden State is in trouble", "Steph's a liability", "they're too KD centric" stuff. All this speculation is off of ONE game. The way they beat the Rockets in game 1...I was like "dang, this does not look good." And, truth be told, most Rockets fans are still pretty worried about this series outcome because of how that game was played, despite shelling them in game 2. The #1 reason the Rockets dominated game 2 because they played with about 1000% the pace they played in game 1. This allowed their iso game to cause way more chaos in the lane which gave the Rockets sharpshooters more touches and more open looks at 3. The reason they won by essentially 30 (until all the starters were pulled) was because of Eric Gordon playing extra. The only reason PJ Tucker had 27 points was b/c GSW decided that when they were only able to guard 1 of the sharpshooters in those fastbreak opportunities, they opted to guard Ariza. If they were to have left Ariza open instead of Tucker on half of those plays, Tucker and Ariza would have just split the same point total. If the Rockets can play with the pace of game 2 they can win this series...but that's a big if.

The way these guys talk about getting rid of Hayward, you'd think he was a bum or something. 20+ppg All Star in a stacked Western Conference, and led a team to 50+ wins. Is he a super star? No. But, he is a VERY VERY good player that fits perfectly with what the Celtics do. Not only that but there are obvious cap reasons you wouldn't want to trade the guy.

I can’t believe that’s an actual debate or even a topic. The fact that Scal came out and said this. Brad Stevens has repeatedly came out and said he doesn’t want credit, give it all to the players. It’s not his fault the media is looking at Brad Stevens. I don’t believe it’s true that it’s disrespectful to the players it’s a testament to them more than anything else.

For once I agree with Whitlock. Haven’t these analyst been saying Curry is the one that makes the Warriors offense run more fluid? Like bro... if Curry struggles they’re going to get beat by the Rockets. Mfs think the Rockets are a joke. They’re a serious team. The disrespect on the Rockets is too much smh

I'm taking nothing away from the Celtics, but I think just because Bron with Cleveland I think we over hyped a team that really wasn't that good to begin with. But good job Celts so far no matter what happens in this series, because they just put the league on notice that they here for the next couple of years to be serious contenders for a few rings

...Avery Bradley was good under Doc before Coach Steven's even got to Boston.. In fact, he was good enough to make HOF Ray Allen expendable... Avery Bradley might be the real reason for the animosity between ray and those other celtics lol

When you can look at a team and say it's that coach's team instead of "Lebron's Team" or Hardens' Team" you know that that coach has a good relationship with his players, runs an effective system consistently, possesses the respect of all his players, and is able to create flexible plays for all players not just that one superstar. Brad Stevens is going to be in the NBA for a long time. Like Phil Jackson. People are going to want to play for HIM, not for the team itself. It's why Hayward was so certain he was going to Boston this offseason.

If I played for the Celtics, and noticed they trying to be like the Patriots, I'm spooked kuz if my name not Brady, I could be outta there at the drop of a dime. Look at how they cycle thru running backs and other positions. New faces every year with low pay. Rings though lol

I agree that they are becoming too KD-centric. It seems like they are imitating the Rockets to a small degree with doing a bunch of KD isolation plays. Even if the Rockets try to stay home on defense, the GSWs need to keep the ball moving better.

Why would they trade Hayward ? They possibly could have a potential all star starting 5 with Kyrie, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford, not to mention that Brad Stevens was Gordon Hayward’s old coach from college when they went to the national championship and lost to duke by a missed shot
