→ "No, I don't have confidence in this government"
𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗥𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘
In the Commons debate in July 2022 on whether MPs had confidence in Boris Johnson's government, Labour's Chris Bryant MP, gave a sizzling performance.
It’s worth watching again, as this was Parliamentary speech delivery at its finest. It was also the best no-confidence speech by far (in my view).
Of course, Conservative MPs didn’t like seeing and hearing Chris (now Sir Chris) firing on all cylinders attacking the government’s dismal record in office.
Two of them were hell-bent on disrupting his flow with trumped-up points of order, which were promptly dismissed by the Deputy Speaker.
But with that over, Chris was soon back on his feet and fired up again.
Dare I say that Chris Bryant is such a fluent and coherent speaker that one day he should be Prime Minister?
At least if Labour wins on Thursday, Chris Bryant will be a front bench member of the new government. And deservedly so.
When voting on Thursday, show that you too have no confidence in the Tory governments of 14 years.

Hopefully in 2 days time Rishi Sunak and the rest of his government will realise that we do not have confidence in this government, or the last two, either.
