Savatage are legendary and so is Criss Oliva !! Nice to hear Chris Caffery with lot of info. I really believe that it"s Jon Oliva's health is what keeps Savatage on hold

I interviewed Jon Olivia a couple of times back in the 80s, and Chris’ description of him is right-on. He was one of the most down-to-Earth, funny, just plain old nice people I’ve ever spoken with.

I'll definitely be picking up the new album because I support anything related to Savatage. And thanks for all you do Chris. You are amazing guitarist/writer/interview. My fingers will always stay crossed for a new Savatage album but if it never happens I'm just thankful for all the music over the years (even Fight For The Rock. lol) And looking forward to getting these vinyls as well because that's how I like my music at home. And thank you Pete for always delivering these great interviews. I may not like it all but I damn sure appreciate all that you do for us. Cheers.

I went on a youtube rabbit hole listening to Spirits of Fire, it's just good heavy metal. You were dead on when you said Fabio did not sound like his usual self. I actually like what he did on the vocals. Fun songs and i'm buying the new album

Savatage, rife with tragedy with losing Criss Oliva, and of course Jon's struggles, but the tragedy of rock and metal fans not embracing these guys, and really having to have people get acquainted with the band through TSO.
