I'm very well aware of who Robert Searight is and the amazing job that he does with Snarky Puppy. I was merely making a suggestion based on the fact that Sput is not the only drummer that has played with them (Greg Clark and John Roberts are two others that I can think of) and that the band's sound varies with different drummers. So.... yes!!

not diggin it...no deep pocket...if this is a new style of time keeping, go backwards to the old. he hits too hard, does not get the subtly of the hats, and just rushes his grooves. sloppy playing...tried to throw too much into a simple groove and did not let the song speak. word out Chris...technique is a tool to serve the song. spend more time on your drum sound as well.

When he's playing for artists like Chaka Khan and now Sheila E. he lays it deep in the pocket. If you think he overplays you must think Vinnie Colaiuta,Billy Cobham,Dennis Chambers and Ronald Bruner Jr. overplay lol. Eat the rest of your peanut butter and jelly sandwich and hush :)
