A true artist never puts himself in a box. Chris has taken chances his whole care and will continue to. I love audioslave more than any other music he has put out. That would have happened if he never branched out away from soundgarden. I am not a fan of pop music but his voice on anything can make me love it and that's why I think he does it. He keeps growing as a musician and keeps it interesting for himself and his fans.

I don't know why some don't love this song, it's certainly one of my favorite songs Scream is definitely one of my favorite albums. It's a genius mix of pop, electro, hip hop and a bit of rock and when combined with Timba's beats and Chris's great voice, it becomes a masterpiece, one of a kind, music is miles better than most of the popular songs. Perhaps those who don't love this genius piece of work, lack what it takes to see the genius in his work.

Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. Lovely comment, and I agree. An artist who isn't afraid of growing will take risks and step outside of the genre he's known for. Good for Chris that he was secure enough within himself to do that. It's not even so much that this is a terrible song, (though it is), it's the fact that this is just the antithesis of Chris Cornell. Chris Cornell is the guy who is arguably the best rock songwriter of the past 20 years, the guy with moving, heartfelt lyrics and an amazing voice along with ballsy rock riffs and songs to boot. This is just NOT Chris Cornell. I cannot actually believe he did this haha! Still, I fucking love the guy and his music!

Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, King Diamond, Lemmy Kilmister, Deryck Whibley, Chuck Schuldiner, Jon Schaffer, John Lennon, Elton John, Phil Collins, Jeff Hanneman... Maybe, a step behind Julian Casablancas. But Matt Bellamy? He's good and all, but nothing like those legends.

Dude wanted to do something different--I mean, he'd been doing hardcore rock for over 20 years by the time he put this release out--so apparently he figured it was time for a change. Couldn't stand this release when it first came out--it barely got any radio play in my area---but after listening to the entire thing again recently, I decided that it's not even that bad--even this song. The thing is, it was such a drastic change for his fans, they didn't know how to handle it, I guess. Props to him for stepping outside of his musical box---musician who do that usually get told to stay in their lane, but even they get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. I admire musicians who do that though--that's how they learn to stretch their musical wings, so to speak.

Richard B Alot of it is just what you are use to someone doing and they do something different it throws you off. It can even be with an actor not just a singer. If you always see someone play the good guy and then all at once he plays the bad guy. You are not use to that from them.
