Found the lyrics if anyone was interested, I did not write it down by myself but they seem accurate. Rest in peace Chris. Come gather 'round people from far & wide Keep for yourselves while the river's run dry And you find that your tears are getting harder to cry There's a thirst in your soul that's invading Start digging your wells, & fall dead in your tracks 'Cause the times, they are a changin' back Here come bards and the bloggers, who are losing your heads Only write by repeating what others have said Now the ones and the zeros, they don't know how to lie If it's written then it must be a fact Now winners & losers are equally lost, And the times they are a changin' back Come presidents blue, and congressmen red We do what's been undone and undo it again As we carry the load for the 1%, who bought you your seat at the table Well the wine pours red and the hearts turn black, And the times they are a changin' back Come all you media, women and men 24 hours a day scare the shit out of them If fear is your business then business is grand There's always someone somewhere dying And I know if it gets slow you'll take up the slack Cause the times they are a changin' back Come pass the baton in the relay of time Where death is the only true finish line And we look to the past or the future is blind Are we sure that we're equal to the task Cause I can't help but see the writing on the wall It reads: the times they are a changin' back

Anyone who ever saw Chris do a solo show would know how funny and down to earth he was. He made a big show seem like an intimate performance with friends. He had the audience in the palm of his hand and they loved him. So sad that he felt so much pain. You’ll be missed Chris. No one sings like you any more.

The pressure is gone, the see-saw ride known as brain chemistry flowing in the wrong or confused direction aka depression, anxiety and the ghosts & demons that follow suit at times are no more. Be proud of yourself, I am... your journey was perhaps the most toughest of all... battling with what seems and feels like your very own mind betraying & abandoning you at different intervals is unimaginable, until you realize, the spinner landed on your name... and so it begins. Rest well my beautiful gentleman with a very sage-like old soul. The peace you have now will never travel away from you. A very loving and very much loved in return Husband and Dad. With Father's Day this Sunday, I have a lump in my throat. Vicky is as beautiful from within as she is on the outside, her glow for Chris never stopped radiating over their thirteen year marriage, an amazing thing to witness. I adore how Chris described Vicky in an interview "an angel, a lioness, and the perfect wife and mother". The Chris & Vicky Cornell Foundation filled such a crucial need in the work and mission of protecting children in dire and very vulnerable circumstances of abuse, facing poverty and all that follows. The sexual, physically violent, emotional and neglective abuse of a child, especially between birth and six years of age, the formative years, time of becoming confident in one's self, discovering love of one's self and others, learning from parents, older siblings & teachers a feeling of pure good bonding and friendships, learning and understanding trust. In an instant the fate of a little one changes and all they knew & their young eager minds that was safe and good is no more. Confidence in themselves is shattered and the road back requires solid mental and physical help right away, the work is a heavy load but success in removing the shame they now live with, gaining back their lives, loving themselves again and gaining confidence in their capabilities and talents, looking forward to their journey and what lies ahead is everything. The Cornell's foundation is very dear to my heart and a thousand times saying thank you for this great, serving and amazing cause would never adequately convey my gratefulness and admiration to you both and to your children, Toni and Christopher and to Lillian. ~~agape & namaste.

It's funny someone commented here that they miss him. That's exactly what I feel whenever I think his name or hear his voice. He was mine. He had a space he held for a connection just for me. I was in the same room with him and I sat as he talked, played and sang while I listened. And smiled. His simply being in the world exactly who he was gave me an unexplainable peace and a simple appreciation for my life with him in it. He never set his eyes on my face but he knew me I could tell. He was me. But God his voice. It will warm me and bring tears for as long as I live and as long as I live every time I hear it I will think...I miss him...he was part of me...I miss him.

That would be because he represented the ultimate human-sexy,handsome,badass,intelligent,gifted loving,vulnerable,unspoilt,kind...every good thing-this I believe is why everyone is having such trouble letting him go-it seems inconcievable that we won't get to have such a blessed soul around any more-probably how he felt when he lost Andy....I don't know about all the other stuff;but he's gone-and no-one can deal with it. He was so perfect.

Chris was one of the voices of my generation. I didn't always see eye to eye with him, but we were kindred spirits in fighting the same demons... A lot of young people blame us for their ills, but what did you expect when we ourselves had unaddressed ills, too? We need a reset that restores to us all our Constitutional freedoms. We are currently nothing but serfs....

The Times They Are A Changing Bob Dylan & The Band Come gather 'round people Wherever you roam And admit that the waters Around you have grown And accept it that soon You'll be drenched to the bone. If your time to you Is worth savin' Then you better start swimmin' Or you'll sink like a stone For the times they are a-changin'. Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide The chance won't come again And don't speak too soon For the wheel's still in spin And there's no tellin' who That it's namin'. For the loser now Will be later to win For the times they are a-changin'. Come senators, congressmen Please heed the call Don't stand in the doorway Don't block up the hall For he that gets hurt Will be he who has stalled There's a battle outside ragin'. It'll soon shake your windows And rattle your walls For the times they are a-changin'. Come mothers and fathers Throughout the land And don't criticize What you can't understand Your sons and your daughters Are beyond your command Your old road is Rapidly agin'. Please get out of the new one If you can't lend your hand For the times they are a-changin'. The line it is drawn The curse it is cast The slow one now Will later be fast As the present now Will later be past The order is Rapidly fadin'. And the first one now Will later be last For the times they are a-changin'.

If Dylan's been made aware of this updated cover (customized for these here times in which we find ourselves) by Cornell of this classic '60s protest anthem of his, I wonder what he thinks of it.
