Brilliant. My mate used to sing this when he was drunk. Hilarious.

I perform many Chris de Burgh songs , he is up there with Paul Rodgers, Robert Plant Freddie and Rodger Daltrey in terms of vocal ability...in other words , one of the 5 greatest rock singers in the world and usualy this is the epitome of De Burgh . But not this , as the song demands the atmosphere created by the effects on stage from a full band , the whistle, the earie background sounds, smoke, and the awesome musicians that accompany Chris de Burgh So yes this is an awesome song but not interpreted in this way however brilliant the man is

I totally get what you mean, I perform almost all of his songs myself too! Since you are probably better at singing than I am (I'm 15...) I have a question; do you know how he gets that sort of rolling distortion in his voice when he does those shouts of the devil? (On the studio-version it's just regular distortion but when he does it live it's not, you can hear it really well on the Live In Dublin version, he does it all the time in the song there!)

Although I am an acoustic mainly performer I believe it is careful use of the reverb I have tried it through valve amp and suddenly difficult songs for me became easier and more true to the song My amp is a modern Ashland 30 watt similar the old Vox ac30 and I paid £100 from a cash generator shop

@@jonathanpardoe8722 That's interesting, but I wasn't talking about the the guitars, but about the voice. When he does the shouts, his voice kind of rolls, you can hear it really well at 2:35. I there any chance you know how to do just that?
