He has principles, he is obliging his son to in general live with principles and, in particular, to box with principles. We have also encountered problems of barely disguised racism, (Chris is the black father in a domino couple, and I am the white father in a domino couple. When Chris is being interviewed by pumped-up, over-educated wise-guys I sometimes see the dark shadow that from time to time crosses my face cross Chris's. If I had used the very bad language used by some commenters (who, maybe, want to show the world that they put one over on a very classy guy), within earshot of my trainer, (I had a very, very minor amateur career as a middleweight), he would have decked me without warning. And I would have been really humiliated, by myself, if I didn't take that one without retaliation, and without resentment. Don't swear, you tarnish your own personality, you are telling the world you cannot even express yourself decently

Do you have a version of that which makes sense? I know who I am, I know what I know, and often enjoy finding that there are things I do not know, as they are always opportunities to learn something. I don't mind contradiction, I don't mind what people who know me think of me, always a good opportunity to try to improve, and I think nothing of the opinions of people who do not know me. If you can't deal with that: tough! And when you resort to bad language you tell people things about you you might prefer to keep to yourself, but, as bad language is a sign of a weak personality, that is what you do. The more you use bad language, the more you tell people you are weak. My guys used to tell their mates that they knew when we were in trouble, because I would talk more and more quietly and politely. In four years I had zero guys killed, and zero disabling injuries, (that was before IEDs became a menace). It only ended when I got run over by a truck while off duty. You cannot impress me so don't make yourself look silly by trying to.

It won't change until their editor is removed from post. He has turned a serious and respected journalistic operation into a pantomime in which any guest invited onto the show is poked and taunted in the hope an argument breaks out. This is no longer about getting to the truth but rather "getting to the fight" with nothing but higher ratings in mind. Check out the Richard Dawkins or Tarantino interviews for classic examples of this interviewee baiting tactic.

I think what Eubank Senior did was incredible, he saved a young mans life by telling his own son to aim for the body. This reporter is asking stupid questions obviously in a normal situation chris would tell his son to aim for the head because all boxers do that but in this situation where the opponent was severely hurt he told his son to lay off the head shots.
