Chris Evans Talks Directorial Debut ‘Before We Go’, Tom Brady

Now available on iTunes and VOD and also playing in select theaters is Chris Evans' directorial debut, Before We Go. Set in Manhattan, the story follows two strangers (Evans and Alice Eve) after their unexpected meeting in Grand Central Station. At the recent Los Angeles press day I landed an exclusive video interview with Chris Evans. He talked about why he selected Before We Go as his directorial debut, what he learned making his first film, how he didn’t want to tackle something too ambitious his first time out, what he wants to direct next, his desire to meet Tom Brady, and a lot more. Here’s what he had to say:

I really loved this movie. The actors and the dialogues were so good. The story had so many layers to it. I also loved the cliffhanger at the end. Life is a complicated journey and relationships are what we spend our time on this planet, dealing with. In my humble opinion I believe that Chris Evans did a wonderful job of directing this movie, based on the superb flow of the story from beginning to end. I hope that Chris Evans continues to act and direct. The interviewer did a great job as well.

I didn't particularly love the movie because its not my subject but my girlfriend dug it. It was definitely better then most roms, the direction was nice at times and Chris and Alice Eve killed it. Nice movie with an atypical ending for what I was expecting going in. I would have liked Chris to go in on something more provocative but you can't really fault him for this debut much, it was fine. Based on what he said here he should definitely be happy with this attempt of getting his feet wet. We saw it on VOD a couple of months ago, is it being released in cinemas now or something?
