It’s been a hot minute since I’ve seen NAW do just about anything…even defensively he seems a step slow. I think that Jokic screen last series rly hurt him.

The goal-tending rule is a simple matter of fairness. If the defense can't go up to touch the ball while it's above the rim, then neither can the offense, otherwise you're creating a situation where it's not possible to play defense.

I think a piece of perspective we are missing on the 0-14 stat is how many of those team were the home team or favorites in the in that game 1 loss. The Pacers losing game 1 in Boston is a different level of loss than the Wolves losing at home.
@andrewgill6267
@andrewgill6267 5 ай бұрын
Exactly, Pacers were supposed to lose game 1. Wolves should’ve won game 1. Now they really need to make adjustments and win and hopefully they do!

I dissagree. 14 games is a pattern, regardless of seed. The point is more about being tired than anything
@RobbyBJust1B4IDIE
@RobbyBJust1B4IDIE 5 ай бұрын
I agree on the physical and mental fatigue aspect and wouldn’t say that the wolves should have should have or needed to win. I was more curious on if the stat truly pertains to their situation. If all of the other 13 instances were road teams losing I feel like lowers the strength of that stat simply explaining away the loss. Again just for perspective on the stat.

Some of the FIBA rules need to override the NBA rules... that goaltending rule would make a lot more put back dunks or more inside defense presence to get the rebound ball out of the restricted zone.

MN fought over WAY too many deep screens. 5+ feet beyond the line, duck under. 3+, take the easiest path around. Giving space to step up to the 3pt line is not ok, there the bigs need to step up to challenge and deal with the pick and roll with help ready to collapse and scramble. But that's why you defend out farther and make it a struggle to have the pick and roll at the 3pt line to abuse every possession.

Agree. The Mavs showed up and only won by 3. This series is no problem for the T-wolves.

If player's could swat balls off the rim, the 2019 Raptors never get the Kawhi clutch shot, and Embiid probably has a ring purely off the fact he could grab every single ball off the rim. (hot take) This rule would completely negate the shooter's era and revitalize the Big-man era. I support
@farming4g
@farming4g 5 ай бұрын
Exactly... makes some of those long shots slightly more risky since the bouncing on the rim would take a tall guy (Wemby, could you imagine LOL) and just snatch it out or dunk it back in.

The reason why Mavs went 10 deep while the Wolves went 7 deep… is simply because of disparity in depth. Their 10th player was a former lottery pick who has moderately panned out. Also, Wolves like I had warned before need to size up better against Lively and Gafford. And to not let DJJ and Washington warm up.

62 of 154 nba teams have won the nba conference finals after losing the first game. about 40%. Of course it's better to win game one but not by a landslide. If the better team loses game one they still probably win the series.

With as much talent and size as Minnesota has, you'd think they would have swept a hobbled nuggets team, as well as the Mavs. I guess it's probably a team issue or coaching.

What do people think about putting KAT on Luka? He can move his feet fast enough to guard Luka and is bigger so Luka has a harder time getting a shot off and he wouldn’t waste his energy on Luka. I just worry about Luka getting KAT in foul trouble by how Luka flops
@OverEast34

KAT makes too many boneheaded mistakes on defense that will put him in foul trouble all game. They need his scoring too desperately to afford foul trouble.

Ant is only falling off because he drives in the lane and he's being hit by two different defenders. I see several times Kylie went to hole didn't or barely got touched and a foul was called. Ant gets hit and the refs swallow their whistles. It was complete and utter disgusting display of favoritism by the refs.

It's like that all year with Ant... he doesn't flop and is physical when sizing to the rim. Look at that missed call in Game 7 in Denver where he literally got swatted across both his arms in front of the ref. No call. Can't breathe on some of these other high profile players and get a happy whistle.

Ant went to the line once last game. Kyrie and Luka were steadily there. Most of the free throws was Rudy and Conley.

Not happy! Is that the most frustration he could show! Judd loved this, yep it (Minnesota Nice) crap that kills these teams. Coaching is not coddling Judd tryin to make it sound like Finch was putting the hammer down. I don’t think he said anything to change any of these players attitude. Please Mackey stop with the random useless trivial stats, it just shows you have nothing of value to add the convo!
