Why is an aging Nigel Tufnel impersonating an intelligent-sounding American?

He's nobility - styled as Lord Haden-Guest in Britain.

I don't think you know what "schmooze" means. It means to chat with, with the idea of kind of ingratiating yourself, for business purposes for instance. At a film premiere, for example, an aspiring filmmaker schmoozes with potential producers and studio bosses. It doesn't mean "discuss."

Guest: "She's a MOTHER." Rose: "And she does commercials!" Sheesh, Charlie Rose didn't seem himself in this interview.

Got a question... Are you the same who posts the Dick Cavette clips? The language you use, "So-and-so Shmoozes about..." "So-and-so bitches about..." It puts a bad taste in my mouth. A touch negative. These clips are great though, all of them. Real gems, but why the choice of words?

I've made the same observation. It is off-putting. Mainly cause it's bullshit. I don't seeing any schmoozing or bitching in any of these clips.

This seems to meet the definition of schmooze.

I don't think it's possible to get through watching a slice of KZbin now without tripping over someone who has been accused of sexual misconduct. For those who for some reason don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to Charlie, not Chris.

I was a guest on Rose's show in the late 90s: I was in my late thirties. He began to press his foot into mine. At first, I thought it must be a mistake and then realized it was quite deliberate. It became more 'insistent' until I just moved the chair back. The juvenile nature of contact notwithstanding, I was still shocked and said something to one of his producers moments after my segment was through. She just told me that he'd had numerous complaints over that very behavior and worse. Do I wish I'd send something? Yeah. One of those things that hits you later. (And I'm hardly implying this was abusive contact, btw: the difference needs mentioning.)

You either get Charlie or you don't, just as you either gut Guest or you don't, in this case, I get both of them, but I just don't care for Guest at all. And to say that his wife is a mother, that's a fucking lark, she never had her own kids. That's the funniest thing Guest has ever said.
@donlitos6 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you've hear this many times before - you are a complete idiot. Jamie Lee Curtis adopted two abandoned children and that makes her not only a great mother, but unlike you, a great person.
@Martha_thl4 жыл бұрын
@Quidseeker my mother raised three children who were adopted. Not sure why anyone would not think she fit the definition, and then some.
