I totally agree. I might add that Chris Hedges is a brilliant mind who put his skills at the service of the people instead of focusing solely on wealth accumulation for himself. The man is a bright journalist, Presbyterian minister, multilingual (Arabic, Spanish, Greek, Latin), and he has lived in many corners in the world, interacting with the locals. It saddens me that people of his caliber aren’t in charge of our country.

Support the film, demand it is shown elsewhere after this first wave of screenings. Most importantly, turn up Monday, 20 May at 9.30 at the Royal Courts of Justice at Aldwych on the Strand at Julian’s last appearance before the British judges. No Extradition! Free Julian Assange! All out for free speech and an honest democratic press. All out to save Assange from certain death in the American penal gulag where he shall be facing an 175 year sentence for espionage. I am white but my husband (now deceased) was a Bangladeshi whose father was Co-Chief of Police in Calcutta during Partition. I think India is devolving in that way, and I would be afraid to go back and see our family friends, who are also Hindu.
