It does not Get Any Better than this. Etta was way underrated. " Id Rather Go ind" at times was my theme song with a relationship that lasted 37 years of ups and downs. If it got bad ,I thro on Etta's cd with this song on it and things would smooth out. Thanks Chris ,honey you knew which one to pick.✌️💜🙂‍↕️🙏😪

Brings back memories. My mom and i were on our way back from my grandfathers funeral in michigan. We were just outside of chattanooga, TN when this song comes on the radio. Unfortunately right after it ended, the dj came on and announced that he had just passed. You can imagine my shock. My mother, who is not a big country listener, was even saddened. That is how big of a legacy that Mr. Ledoux left, and i am glad to see that his son is carrying on that legacy

This was my intro to Chris. I was 12 or 13 at the time living on a farm/ranch and liked rock. When I saw this video on CMT my mind was blown. It sent me down a rabbit hole that has led me over the years to all these artists that have been influenced by Chris such as Ian Munsick, Aaron Watson, Cody Johnson and of course Ned just to name a few.

Your experience is very similar to mine, but I liked rock/metal and country as well back in those days. I lived out in the woods, was (and still am, and live even farther in the woods, lol) a hillbilly instead of on a farm. Thanks for sharing. This song takes me back to a great time in my life. 😢
