Chris leese's impact was more than I expected to be honest but his lack of bars prevented him from winning. He started good but fizzed out in terms of bars. His performance/energy and humour/personals are what pulled him through. So he might have won to those who love that stuff. All he needed was some haymakers. Tony d had those killer bars and witty humour that made chris look stupid and fake towards the end. Tony d 2-1 he out barred and outwitted chris.

Leese's entire second and a majority of the battle were single syllable bars. That's why he lost, filter out crowd reaction and you'll see what tony did to him, Leese's over aggressive style was equalised by Tony's control, composed attitude coupled with direct haymakers, anyone saying "Leese got robbed" has a weak grasp of barring.

andrew robertson it would be nice if the crowd could decide the result, unfortunately bias crowds and hometown advantages exist so a crowd will never reflect a realistic opinion of a battle. Its more diluted over here, but if you watch a URL battle (Which I seriously advise against) you'll see a distinct advantage to the rapper who "reps" the majority.

Chris came good in the first, but his 2nd and 3rd really weren't up to snuff. I like Leese (one of the few who do it seems) but he came super light in those 2 rounds and the double time shit ain't cutting it. Tony definitely won that, it wasn't a classic battle though.

listen to this. What Chris Leese does is word association in a fast pace. thats beginners shit. anybody can go to the dictionary and list all the words that rhyme and make a sentence rhyming. NOW being a lyricist is having a flow and kind of a accent that you practice to build rhymes with words that dont actually rhyme that much but it still does. its really hard to explain but if your a hiphop head and you listen to alot of oldschool shit youll know what im talking about. Sick battle. Imho Tony D is dope, he had a clean delivery, decent wordplay and a decent rebuttal, but I didn't find his bars and angles very effective, original or vicious, and his delivery is somewhat monotone and lacks energy. Chris Leese had more bars, with a clean, entertaining and rap skill filled delivery, his bars and angles were more vicious, original, effective and funny, and his wordplay was more intricate and clever, but he had a weak rebuttal. I would have voted Chris Leese 2-1. Imho Tony D is not the best in DF, he is decent, but I think Deffinition, Bamalam, Cruger, Eurgh, Soul, Unanymous and Sensa are better and have proved it with their performances in international battles.
