It's not uncommon for a QB to have a decrease in Year 2. Other teams now have a full season of film on you. Stroud will most likely push through it. It's pretty rare for a QB to have 5,000 yard seasons like Justin Herbert did his second year.

Chris is wrong that retreads and budget QBs will get you a Super Bowl. You can win for awhile and make the playoffs but most of the elite QBs have been and will be higher draft picks. It's a bigger problem to match your QB with a good QB coach, Off coordinator and offensive line. Andy Dalton wins maybe a Playoff not SB.

The eagles were loaded with talent when Pederson won the SB...probably one of the all-time great OL's and a very big strong defense...to me the jags talent level of their top players is good/pretty good, not great. For them to win in teh NFL they need outstanding QB play to carry them, and that's a tall order for all but the greatest of QB's to pull off (think Elway/Marino/Luck).
