Great interview thanks! Regarding a low ROIC but stable company, wouldn't that in essence mean the company is losing its competitive advantage or it never had a Moat in the first place? So best to exit? Refering to Brown & Brown. Regarding Sales vs ROE, I would still say ROE or rather ROIIC (return on incremental invested capital) a more important metric. The high sales could be owing to high capital requirements, which can be scarce and costly to acquire and unsustainable

Very interesting interview. How do you know when it's time to sell? All good things come to an end.

Yeah, it's a good question and one that's much harder to decide than when to buy. We believe the best stocks are the ones you never want to sell. If you buy a good company at a good price, the value will continue to increase over your lifetime. However, there are times when you are dealt with the conundrum of potentially selling. Here are 3 questions to ask yourself before you pull the trigger and sell a stock 1) Was I wrong? i.e. did you buy for the wrong reasons, 2) Has something changed? i.e. Visionary leaders leave, fail to innovate etc. or 3) Do I still believe in this company? if you still believe you own part of a great business...don't sell!
