Congratulations on getting in interview with Chris He’s great. Just a tip for the future, I would let him choose what he wants to speak about as Apposed to asking to many questions. I feel he had a lot to say but was dragged down by answering your questions. But great job and continue the great work. I love your channel and I am your biggest fan.

hi , I read the book. No doubt is a good book, very general good advice, which you can find also elsewhere and also some more flavor. I like the book. However there was one BIG thing missing the book which I was looking forward to find there. As the author claims of beeing good in spotting 100x stock, but he fails to list any stocks which he might consider to fulfill his criteria of 100-baggers. Instead he lists 100 baggers from history, which I also could have found just running a code to screen all companies in nasdaq and YSE. Of course you would not expect all the recommendation he gives to be 100x, but at least he should have provided some suggestions and let reader pick.

Chris indicated he prefers the return on equity metric. However, he also said debt could inflate this figure. Could someone explain to me why that would be the case?

Put simply - a company could earn more next year if they took on debt this year and invested in the business. All else equal, it's better if a company can earn a high ROE without excess leverage. Ideally, the growth will be driven by the company's profits.

What do you think about Backblaze? I think it can easly be 100X bagger. Why? 15 year cloud storage company went public recently and laser focused on growth. No debd and currently has a market cap of 200 million. Even after 100X if would still be just 20B. I know their service, its very good. What do you think?

Problem with cloud storage is moat They have a small moat with huge competitors such as aws, azure, google cloud Im not saying it cant grow but itll be hard to carve a spot against those giants

@@Mostly_bad Usually I agree, but this company is 15 years old and most founders are still there. Also IPO is not that recent, they went public in 2021 Oktober.

@@Growth-Value Yes, agreed. Also being a “very cheap storage” is not a good moat at all. But it’s a huge market, still rapidly growing. I think there is room for multiple players.

Chris Mayer has found 100 baggers though (it’s easily verifiable). I’m pretty sure writing and distributing a book in this day and age is not profitable.

This comment is so dumb. 100 baggers take time and is an investment. Writing a book is not an investment. It’s sort of like saying I shouldn’t go to work because some of my stocks might be 100 baggers one day.

Not that I believe a portfolio should have a large number of stocks like an ETF but if you are coffee-canning for 20 years, you really don't need to follow every stock you own every quarter do you?

Very insightful point, Len. Thank You for this. 100 baggers would only look investible AFTER they have gone up alot and overcome their (lack of) profit issues by outgrowing their losses.
