I never realised that it was actually Dom's band. He was the one who got Matt in and then he was the one who got Chris to learn to play the bass. I've always thought that Matt was the leader in every sense, but now it seems like Matt is the artistic leader - the crazy genius who brings in most of the songs and ideas while Dom is the more down-to-earth, backstage leader who keeps them all together.

Their life are quite healthy when comparing with other rock band so…it’s not surprising that they look better. At least they don’t have drug or alcohol abuse….and got involved in tons of weird behaviour

@@bennyhill3505 Definitely not upper class. They went to the same comprehensive school as me. Matt is on record as saying his mother had very little money following her divorce from Matt’s dad. These lads have worked hard with their creative talents, not taking the druggy route that some rock bands do, and deserve all the success they’ve earned.

About 6-months late but just found this and OK, there might be a fuller version out there but this is great. Loved MUSE & MB since the beginning, been a long time I was in Devon back then, so it was fab the Teignmouth kids made good. And it was lovely to hear Matt talk about his Dad, as Knights really is so evocative of an era most MUSE fans wouldn't have a clue about. I miss Chris Moyles, I know he could be difficult, but that was then & Radio1 probably wasn't the easiest place to be, so glad he's back doing what he loves & he seems more humble... This was a good interview, he genuinely was listening and I think Matt and Dom enjoyed it too and I learnt a lot. Maybe next time Chris W will be there, too. Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it (I'm so far away now I doubt I'll ever see them play live again 😢) so this was a special treat for me. Cheers 👍😊
