Man this one was needed, Chris Mullin aka "Mully" wasn't athletic but his Lefty Jumper WAS CASH, when he was healthy with the Warriors he was good for 25 a game and damn near 50/40/90 shooting, CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED!

Chris Mullin to genuine basketball fans is NOT underrated. The guy won 2 gold medals. He was a player of the year in college, a multiple-time all-star, all-NBA selection & overcame alcoholism to become one of the best of his time. He is a 2-time Hall of Famer for a reason. Appreciate the video.

TOO bad he couldn't guard any one,no defensive ability at all. LOL. Mullin was a shorter version of Dirk Nowitzki ( Dirk didn't even try to play any defense,his lack of trying to play any defense got Shawn Bradley ( I believe he was 7 ft-6,he also once played with Dirk on the-MAVS ) posterized by several players like-T-Mac,Kobe,etc,etc,.
@O.J.S.5 ай бұрын
@@kerry-j4m In a career spanning about 16 years, he did manage to average 1.6 STEALS PER GAME. While steals don't indicate someone's defensive prowess, it does indicate some modicum of defensive effort. If nothing else it indicates a willingness to play the passing lane to gain a possession for your team. As far as comparisons to Dirk? No, their games did not even remotely resemble one another. There is a reason that he was on the 1992 Dream Team, that is because he was THE REAL DEAL!

Chris Mullin played in the prime Big East and got his; he bounced the ball off the floor, hit the backboard, and he caught and dunked it one hand on the fast break by himself, I was a fan ever since; I already liked him, but that sealed the deal

These stories are important in many ways. A big one in this story is he showed and proved that a person can really transform themselves if they get their mind right. Big time powerful role modelling. Things aren’t hopeless if we dig deep and do that work.

@@randytuittii3622We were competing with great stacked teams that had interior players we could not defend. Dampier was our best center from 1976-2003. Shaq could have changed that narrative in an instant. If any of the hall of Fame centers chose to come to the warriors would have given them the best opportunity to win. But they were too stupid to realize we had the best perimeter players that needed just one rugged big man. Whether it was at the power forward or center position
@truthserum66725 ай бұрын
@@randytuittii3622 The Warriors drafted Webber and instantly went to the playoffs. That was the floor for a team on an upwards trajectory. He never got to play with Hardaway, Mullin, or Richmond. Richmond was traded Mullins was hurt, Hardaway got hurt when Mullins came back. Sprewell needed to grow the whole order of operation was out of whack. You can't give a fair assessment because of dumb moves by management. And a boycott by the big men in the league thinking the warriors were too soft to even contemplate playing for us. You MUST all know these things about me, so that you can understand where, when and HOW I grew up: I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. 5'10", a decent height for an Asian male of my generation. Right-handed. Decent, not great jumper. Now, I was done with anything beyond shooting around, at 28 and beyond. Still, I liked to do deliberate dribbles, zone in on the basket, and shoot the fundamental jump shot, and pretend that I was Chris Mullin. What I admired, was how Chris Mullen could BLOCK SHOTS! Figuratively, and even literally, I was a Larry Bird/Chris Mullin shot-blocker: I wasn't going to outjump anybody like Hakeem Olajuwon or Shaquille O'Neal. Rather, like Mullin and Bird, I "learned the tendencies of opponents," and I would "time my jump, with when I thought he would release his shot." I would have that ONE split moment, where I could block a shot. In a pre-season Phoenix at Golden State Game in 1992-93, I saw Chris Mullin block a Mark West shot.
