@@SidLaw500 Not even close. Chirs Potter has a 5000 page catalogue of amazing solo's, most of them far surpassing what was performed here. Check out some of his work on the Aziza album, his Imaginary Cities album, the entirety of Rumples and Follow The Red Line, his other work with Dave Holland like Prime Directive, Keys to the Kingdom, Illimba. I don't think there any official recordings out there but he did a tour some years ago playing A Love Supreme with Joe Lovano and that shit was mindmelting to the point that this video feels like a breeze.

@@thewafflemancer Btw that was before I really dug deep into Potter! I AGREE with you. I literally believe nobody has listened to him more than I have in the last year. 2 hrs a day average? (On road trips: 8-10hrs a day). I'm not a saxophonist, but I am a serious full-time professional musician with my own vision quest. Listening to Potter is one of my greatest pleasures.

On stage: teacher/master putting on a clinic to a group of students who can't wait to devour everything their ears can possibly absorb. I mean the phrasing is just insane. No wonder Chris has remained relevant all through the years. The second he plays his first note, his tone instantly hits you with an impact so undeniable, you know you're in for a treat! Dang - just studying and replicating Chris's phrases could be my lessons for the next year...oh to be just 10% as good as him...this is one of the most epic sax solos I've ever seen....I love how he summarizes the performance...oh my God...what else can you say? You know what...I actually prefer the room recording versions of this when you can hear the reverberations, the overtones, the harmonic mess and the crowds excitement. The Drums sounds so tame in this but in the "room recordings" it's sounds INTENSE!
