As a daughter of divorce, who’s biological father went on to have many more children with his new wife after leaving my mother and me homeless when I was only 6 months, and then never went on to even give my mother an ounce of credit for raising me, his first born and only biological daughter, when he only popped in and out of my life a handful of times in my life, I understand where critics are coming from. She may not be his wife but she is the mother of his child. He would not have his son without her, she is the one raising his son, and to ignore that is unfair. She will always be that boys mother, whether he is remarried or not. He does not get to ignore that fact now that he has moved on in his life. He deserves a happy marriage and im glad he is in one, im not shaming him for his choice to move on, divorce can be the best thing you can do for yourself and for your children. But there is a certain level of respect you should maintain to the person who you loved enough to start a family with in the first place. A simple happy mothers day is the bare minimum for a father to say to the mother of one of his children just as a happy fathers day is the bare minimum for a mother to say to the father of one of her children. 60% of divorced couple not communicating is not a good thing. If my father had shown half the respect my mother had shown him when i was growing up he would have had a chance to be in my life. Now he won’t. There are no apologies now. My mother raised me to treat him with respect because without him, she wouldnt have me, he raised me as if my mother didn’t exist and my step mom was the one who I should be thankful for.

You don't know in what grounds the relationship ended ? Maybe it was a dead for a while and they just made it official later? Maybe they had been distant way before the divorce ?? Maybe they were married just in the paper for a while? I had a 5 year and a half relationship and when we broke up a week later we both, me and my ex were clubbing, you know why? BC our relationship was dead for already a year and we were contemplating breaking for around 6 months , so our relationship didn't existed for a while already when we were broken up, as well, why should keep single for an X amount of months ? As long as he did not had a relationship with someone during his relationship it's ok , a day, a month, a year, our life is way too short to wait for no other reason that "what people will think" or "be sad just to be sad something long ended "

They were barely a month separated when chris started going to visit Katherine at college, i hope they have a healthy marriage but chris seems to have married her mostly because shes arnolds daughter, hes multiple times stated that the “Schwarzeneggers” are “American royalty”. Mother’s Day was supposed to be about the connection between a mother and her children, not particularly the father’s relationship with the mother. Similar celebrations happened as far back as Ancient Greece, but the actual US holiday comes form Ann Reeves Jarvis, who got a town in West Virginia to celebrate “women’s work day” which brought together the mothers of confederate and Union soldiers.

At this point, people will look for anything to hate on someone. The fact that praise of his daughter was somehow perceived as a jab at his son shows how crazy people are. Most people don't send jabs at their kids by complimenting another and the fact that the demented people on twitter thought so implies two things; 1. They would compliment someone to send a jab at someone else (Normal people don't do that). And 2. They are the ones who see his son as being unhealthy and as having something "wrong" with him. As for his relationship with Anna Ferris, it is none of our business, but they usually praise each other in public and seem to get along. Him forgetting to wish her a Happy Mother's Day doesn't mean he hates or disrespects her. My parents are divorced and they get along, but they never wish each other happy mother's or father's day. In fact, they never wish each other well on any of the holidays (not because they despise each other, but because their not in each other's lives, even though they have a kid.) Most divorced couples don't do that. They will just find any reason they can to hate on him. It's ridiculous.

All I'll say is that I always wish my ex-husband a Happy Father's Day and a Happy Birthday, and we've been divorced since 2000. He's my daughter's father and she adores him, so showing him respect and common decency is showing my daughter that I love her and respect her relationship with him. Divorce is hard enough on kids, why not try our best to make it less difficult?
