Hadn't heard this in a while. Love his voice! I first heard him on an American radio show in the Seventies (I was living in Scotland) and was surprised to discover he was also a Brit, since I hadn't heard of him. I understand he became more successful in the UK in later years? I've been in NY since 1988. Very talented guy :)

I was in the 7th grade when this song was popular, just entering my teens. I had forgotten about this song until the Dahmer movie helped me rediscover it. I like the song back in the last half of 78 and first half of 79, when it was popular, but I like it even more now. I like this version, but honestly those cha cha drums , that are missing from this version, really enhanced the song.
