The song with a circus theme you’re probably thinking of is Johnny’s Revenge. Their ep (Limitless) especially had a fair amount of electronic elements that they continued to use sporadically in their first and second albums in songs like The Fallout (glitchy voice effects during the breakdown) and Rise of the Runaways (intro)

Hell yeah definitely one of the better covers on these PGP albums, CTE also does another Maroon 5 cover- Moves Like Jagger. Its not on PGP and the production is very raw but still enjoyable. They also had a keyboardist for their EP, I think he left the band after that or around when the first LP came out but he may have still been in the band for Payphone. As always i have plenty of PGP recommendations lol. From bands youve checked out before i think youd like- Woe is Me "Hot N Cold", "Last Friday Night" The Word Alive "Heartless" We Came As Romans "My Love", "Glad You Came". And here are some from bands i dont believe youve checked out yet- A Skylit Drive "Love the Way You Lie" Breathe Carolina "Down", "Billie Jean" Upon This Dawning "Call Me Maybe". I would say Crown The Empire started off in this style, much prefer it, before going a bit more generic sounding imo. Check out Breaking Point by them, old song but from this era, it’s awesome!
