I have that exact small setup such a great knife . Wish the clip wasn’t so tight

I agreed, it’s tight.

Been debating on putting one on my umnumzaan, however i ride a motorcycle so pocket retention is the most important thing. Does this clip have tight pocket retention?

Thank you for the update, CD. Personally, I am not impressed with either clip, and ordered the clip insert and screw to come in addition to my new 31. I will use the 31 with the standard clip but will probably be removing it and use the insert and sheath. But I look forward to your impressions of the hawk clip in a future video review.

Thank you for watching! I already sold the clip and my Small Sebenza 31; the perfect knife! So sad, but I was made an offer I couldn’t say no too. I took the deal, so I could save some money, and still go back and get me another Spydiechef (custom anodized), deliverers tomorrow. BTW, Still loving my large Sebenza 31!

Thanks for another grat video ! Have you considered the idea of getting an Impinda milled clip in order to install it on one of your Sebenzas ?

Are those the ones that run around $130? Too much for me, if so…. Is that right? Still learning…. Thanks

@@knivesinourlives7997 yep, I agree 130$ is a chunk of money for a pocket clip, however Steel Flame clips are even more expensive so I've kinda used to ignoring common sense when it comes to prices in the knife industry :D

Hi Dave. I just picked up a used small Sebenza (BD April 2021). I'm havingg trouble getting the blade to center. When I get the knife centered, the pivot is so tight, the blade will hardly move in either direction. I read about washers binding, but have pulled it apart 3 times and the washers look fine. Any advice?

Sorry , just seeing this. I believe you need to send in your knife. Chris Reeve Knives will turn it pretty quickly. You paid for the warranty, don’t be afraid to use it. Good luck, and let me know…

@@knivesinourlives7997 Thanks Dave. I'm going to give it a bit more time for break in. I've probably opened and closed the knife >1000x in the past two weeks. Maybe just imagination, but seems to be improving, and now closer to center. Good news, no play or lock rock. Getting use and stropped a couple of times. Staying sharp!

@@telemarktumalo6978 Nice! Glad you think you can bring it back. They are great knives, so I believe you, it will come back! If not, Chris Reeve Knives is a great back up! Enjoy your knife; it’s yours now, more than 1000 openings…

Interesting!! Never seen that clip before. New to CRK. When it comes to clips I want function, feel for hot spots, deep cary, and last in order. Please do an update after some carry time on if you like it. So far I am just ok on the facgory clip. Function is great with the middle hump design for edge of pocket retention. Feel is not great - the end is sharp as you described and can be felt in hand where it comes up and flattens. Deep carry is just acceptable. Looks are good to my eye.

The Hawk clip is nice, but still a very stiff clip; needs to be broken in… it carries high, over the end of the knife, which makes it easier to scratch the top edge. And lastly, you will see the scratches on the frame of the knife, where you take off the old clip. The new Hawk clip, will not cover up all the scratches, leaving some visible. All this being said, I am not sure the Hawk clip is worth it to me? Maybe try the Lynch NW clip; titanium milled clip for around the same price; another option.., Thanks for watching! Colorado Dave

Sure would've been nice to see views of the clip height while you were talking about it. Other than showing us that there's a new clip, this video was pretty much useless.
