Man I’ve been using my large 31 micarta a lot but I’ve gone back to my large 21 micarta insingo. I just like the 21 more. I don’t know why but I do. My 31 is rock solid too no lock rock.

Very cool comparison. I've never held a sebenza unfortunately. I need to track one down and see what the hype is about.

Thanks for watching. The Sebenza is a knife that is simple, but every detail on it is thought out, and that’s one reason I like it so much👍

The measurements of the pins are what dictate the tolerances of the knife. If they are different sizes it affects how the scales and blade align..

How's the lockbar tension on the 31 now that the clip doesn't press against it? That has probably been the single biggest contributing factor for me selling every sebenza I've ever owned. I've heard mixed results on how much the new location improves it.

After comparing them side by side the lock bar pressure feels slightly lighter on the 31. There honestly isn’t that much of a difference, but I tried to disengage both locks with my pinky, and I could tell that the 31 is ever so slightly lighter. Thanks for watching

Thank you for the comparison. You explain things very well. Now you need an Inkosi.

Thanks for watching man👊 I’m looking to get a umnumzaan soon. I’m gonna wait to get an inkosi until I can get one in hand, because it seems like one of those knives that has a specific ergonomic design👍

Great video! So if we own a 21 how will the my honor there warranty if a blade breaks and they no longer offer it?

If you need a new reblade for a 21 how does that work if they don’t offer the 21s anymore?

i think if they replaced the ceramic ball with a steel one it would be much better since steel wouldn't wear out the blade like the ceramic does (if the steel ball isn't as hard as the blade) and if the steel ball would wear out you could just replace that instead of having potential issues with the blade being worn out by the ceramic ball

Great video, thanks for the explanation. Since you have both blade shapes, which one is your favorite? The insigno looks nice but I’m not certain which has better utility.

The Insingo blade is my favorite. I like it because it does so good for edc tasks, and not that the drop point is bad, it’s just that the Insingo is better for all of the things I use it for. Also for the 21, the drop point blade thickens up at the tip, and the Insingo does a little, but not that much. (This will really only be an issue if you have a fixed angle sharpening system, because the bevel will be wider at the tip than at the flat). I might go as far to say that the Insingo blade is my favorite shape out of all the knives that I have. Thanks for watching👍

I am torn between the 21 and 31. What one should I go with?

I would go with the 21, the changes made between them aren’t that extreme, but I prefer the lock interface of the 21, the Insingo blade option (apparently CRK is working on a batch of Insingo/tanto 31s) and the inlay pattern. Whichever one you go with you will not be disappointed, let me know if you have any more questions
