Love your reviews. I'm an old fart as well. I picked up a Mnandi after seeing your review. Next up was a Sebenza 31 large. Now I must have a small Inkosi. You're killing me!

My small Inkosi (plain Jane, insingo) is one of my favorite knives. I was sure it would be too small for my size L hands, but somehow it just works. You were speculating about its toughness, not opening paint cans and such: I used mine to open a coconut and it worked great, no harm done. FYI 😌

Great review. Picked up a small inkosi (first CRK) and went PJ and tanto. First reaction was it was tiny, solid, and heavier than it looks. Next up was a Seb 21 small PJ Drop Point. Wanted to feel the old pivot system people always praise. Definitely less robust, slightly bigger, and action has less resistance. Lock sound is not as loud or authoritative as the inkosi. Great knife though and perfect size. Surprisingly, that little bit of extra size makes a big difference. Fast forward again and now have a large inkosi insingo on the way. Looking forward to testing it out. So far small inkosi is my favorite. It is so easy to carry. It disappears in my pocket and gets the most carry time. Agree about the clip not being on the lockbar is a great thing. I find my fingers sometimes push on the lockbar on the Sebenza 21. It still opens, but not as smooth. Only issue so far on the small inkosi is the pocket clip is a slight hot spot. I can definitely feel it while gripping. May end up getting a Zan next to try it out. Figure I can always sell off the ones I don't need for a slight loss and hold on to the keepers (small inkosi ain't going anywhere).

that's wild man. my thoughts and story is similar to yours- I started off with the brand new ( I only buy my Reeve's brand new) Plain SMALL INKOSI in S45VN 2 months ago.. love it! it's never going anywhere... it's so easy to carry while still being robust.. Currently Im am expecting my new small sebenza 21. I want to feel the old pivot system that everyone praises. I wanted a large but could only find the small 21, no worries might even be a good thing. It will be here Saturday. I got it in macassar Ebony beautiful wood inlay. I prefer the old style inlay on the sebenza 21! Which is much more similar to the inkosi inlay. Imo, the new Seb 31 single-continuous piece inlay is too large and covers too much of the beautiful bead blasted titanium. My next knife, as you did, will be finally a large Inkosi. I want to see what the large size is like. A Large Inkosi in natural Micarta. I don't like the Tanto. I much prefer the drop point! ( sometimes Insigno, too) So you got to let me know how that large inkosi is... My Question...Compared to what you're used to in the small inkosi, how is the large? I was tempted by the large, but I think it may be too big l.. 5 oz is a heavy boy. considering how easily the small fits in your pocket and is still robust.

The Umnumbthumb is a beast, love mine after it broke in. I feel I’ll need to scratch my small inkosi itch shortly…

Forgot to mention the crowned spine on the blade. It’s very rare to,have this extra feature.

Do you have a mnandi? I’ve been using carrying mine more and more at the office bc so discrete yet doesn’t feel extremely tiny.

Yup. Doing these tour videos once a week, it is still many episodes away. Preview: I agree - it's gorgeous. It's "top of my list" for discreet, handsome. The Inkosi feels more "capable", while the Mnandi is more beautiful. I'd hate to have to name one overall favourite.

I was self-conscious about those at first, but figured, "what the hell". I pretty much always have one on a finger or hand somewhere.
