Just got my first inkosi today and I gotta say I love it at first opening the blade it was a little tight but with a few adjustments man it’s perfect 👌 and drop point for the win and zero hot spots on top of the blade just amazing craftsmanship!

I have both the large and small Inkosi Insingo knives. The large Inkosi is best with the leather belt sheath and a Hawk pocket clip thats sold on the CRK website. When not on the belt, it’s clipped inside of my daily backpack. The small Inkosi is best without the lanyard or pocket clip. It rides in the pocket along with whatever else is in there, such as keys and coins. The plain titanium handles are nice and smooth and thin for comfort. The plain titanium builds a pocket patina over time which I do not have a problem with. The small is the perfect gentleman’s knife for the office or for the small chores encountered over a weekend while wearing shorts.

I totally agree with your opinions about the Inkosi! I have both a small 21 and a small Inkosi and love them booth! But I'm selling the small 21 and ordered a small Inkosi Insingo yesterday! The Inkosi is significantly smother! I have a wide hand with short fingers and the small Inkosi is like a natural extension to my hand.

The large Inkosi I believe is the finest pocket knife ever made. I bought a small Sebenza 31. To try the smaller pocket knife. It was not for me. Swore off small Chris Reeves knife. Recently a Small Inkosi became available. And I decided to buy it. Didn’t expect more than the small Sebenza 31 disappointment. Wow. Was I wrong for not jumping on the small Inkosi. Feels great In hand and just a little heavier than the small Sebenza 31. I live it as well. Just partial to the inkosi’s. They just have this overbuilt feel. The blade is more robust heavier and falls different. The Inkosi are just for me. Very impressed.

That’s a sweet bead. Star tac next for sure! I agree about S35vn, I only reserve that steel for the best of the best in my collection it’s everywhere! But on a Chris Reeve it is totally acceptable 👍

I love the insingo blade! I will be picking up a small Inkosi with the insingo blade in the near future. It will make a great addition to my regular Sebenza (with BG42 steel).

Yeah I carry 3.2 sebenza would be perfect!! I carry a Spyderco Slysz Bowie to fit the medium feel of a sebenza in my pocket even though in my opinion it’s no comparison to the sebenza 21

I love both blade shapes, but lean toward the Insingo. Sadly, I'll _never get one._ The double lug is still kind of useless for _this_ southpaw as the cutout is so high on the lock side, and I can't get my thumb under the stabby cone. Alternately, with the lefty version I'm fighting too many years of muscle memory to deal with fighting a left-handed lock bar. Been there, done that. : ( Guess I'll just have to see if there's another knife out there somewhere for me? So sad, the pain, the pain.

In a nutshell , i love my wilson combat large double thumb lug 21. I think that its beautiful but i believe crk does run his s35 to soft and he charges to much across the board on all knives. I used to have a few crk’s but sold the others and only kept this one. I do love it and its a user for sure. I will keep it forever and enjoy it but i think that they should drop their prices by about 35 percent. I just sent mine in for a handle reblast And it removed the combat logo off the clip. Not to happy about that but what can you do. That being said, i sold my xm18 but still kept this so that says something. Lol
@DoctorFrunkey

Very good breakdown here. I think CRK could run the steel harder, but the knife is very easy to resharpen. The convex edge will hold an edge for a while. I do wish they would make something new and exciting...and lower their prices like you said. Choosing between this and an XM would be tough, but I think my decision would be the same...

CRK really needs to release a 3.25” Inkosi & 31. Both with Insingo options. Wish they made the small 31 w the insingo blade.

I’m watching your video 6 years later, and they can’t make enough to keep up with demand..the Umnum has a 6 year wait and the Sebenza and Inkosi has a 4 year wait..I do like the Insingo blade myself

I really prefer the Insingo on the Sebenza 21, but on this blade it's a toss up. Weird that I feel that way, maybe it has to do with handle shape.

S35VN is an excellent all around steel. One of my favorites. Oddly enough, even though Chris Reeve helped develop it. He originally ran the heat treat too low in my opinion. Now its dialed in just right. A lot of the super steels people crave for over S35VN cant even be sharpened by 90% of them, without an expensive sharpening system.

I've said it before, my collector side says I must have one, if nothing else just for the history and significance the name carries for modern folding knives. However the Logical side of me says "Bro! How many S35VN titanium folding knives do you already own that cost way less than that. At that price at the very least you could buy 2 or 3 more great knives and probably have some change." And for the record I don't really like the blue nipple thumb stud either. All that said you may have very well convinced me to save up and go for the Brown Servo when he does his next run. I'm still in a state of debate right now. The fact that it's huge and doesn't have a choil are my only real gripes besides price, which really isn't a gripe for what you get.

This is the argument that all collectors have with regard to CRK. Unfortunately, I do think they are falling behind in today's market. They refuse to innovate, and it's frustrating. However, sometimes I feel like alot of new knives aren't really made for use. These are 100% reliable tools. It is worth owning one, just to see where the framelock originated and how to do it right.
@cameronutt6383
@cameronutt6383 7 жыл бұрын
Doctor Frunkey You don't have to innovate quite as much when you practically invented the wheel. This is the thought process I think Chris Reeve has. Besides that last time he innovated we got the Ti lock. A noble attempt but honestly not a great design (in my opinion). I'd be iffy about innovating too if I were him, he needs to, but like all artists he's probably afraid that if he strays too far he'll lose the very thing that made him great in the first place. He's kind of between a rock and a hard place there.
